Results: 291x9, 1T. 5:4. I get 30 more fps than 255x11 or 252x11. Memory is OCZ Titanium (2x1GB DDR400). 3700+ SD processor. I'm now running the TTake Bigwater SE watercooling system and it idles at 29-32 degrees Celcius in a 78 degree F room. At load (RTCW for 6-8 hours) it reaches a maximum...
One question for anyone running this board:
Where is the divider setting? I'm running a 3700 SD and I want to run 5:4 but cannot find the setting. Thanks
What would be the best settings for 2700mhz? I have tried everything 80mhz FSB, etc and it will run fine at 2.9ghz, but not at 2.7, which is what I prefer to run this chip at (it's an E). Any ideas?
I don't get it. I can connect to the internet. The Static IP shows up in the properties. Everything is correct. I can browse the local network. But it won't stop saying "Acquiring Network Address". The box is a AMD64 3500+ with Asus SLI-Deluxe Motherboard. Running 4.6.4 driver (NIC).
I can...
I can tell you that the GIANT III is a superior cooling solution. I've owned both and I've tried them both on the X800. The GIANT III idle temps are 40C and the VGA Silencer idles at 54 C. You be the judge. ;)
I found the problem. Some malware program was disabling the Local Area Connection on startup. I used Adaware 6 to remove the file and re-enabled the connection. No problems since.
That's over 170 degrees F! :) I would be extremely worried. I recommend the GIANT 3 cooler. Works very well on my X800 Pros. Mine idles at 38-40 C and under load it reached 47 C.
Dunno what's up. Windows Media Player 9 isn't loading for some reason either. But IE6 won't access any websites. I can ping anything, update antivirus, etc. But no browsing. I disabled ZoneAlarm and it still does this. Any ideas? :)
Ceramique? I'm not familiar with that. But if it contains ceramic materials, it can't possibly be better than Arctic Silver 5 or Geil Copper. Ceramic is a nonconductive, insulator. It retains heat. If this is just a name, then disregard my concerns. :)
It's not in the poll, but I vote for frame rate and image quality. Those two indicate the conditions of performance for me. I play FPS games and racing games exclusively, so a consistent frame rate and good image quality sell me on a card.
I used to buy nVidia Exlusively. Then I bought a 9700...
The Zalman is also a great cooler. The only reason I chose the GIANT III is the design will basically fit anything as long as you have room near the AGP slot and at least two holes in the PCB. I'm running the AeroCool HT-101 cpu cooler and there is about 3" of space between the two.
I can tell you that the Giant III's heatpipes work exceptionally well. Nearly all of the heat is conducted via the heatpipes aka "super conductors". What's also "cool" is the blower fan. In spite of some of the (poorly written) reviews, the blower does work. The catch is, it only works to push...
In my opinion, the stock HSF isnt sufficient for long gaming sessions at high resolutions with all the eye candy on. The stock HSF gets so hot, you cant even touch it without melting skin off your fingers.
With the GIANT III, it idles close to ambient and after hours of playing FarCry or...
I assure you, unless the Falcon's eyes were cut out with a spoon, the Falcon is not going to hit a plane. They have binocular vision and they can hear the plane from miles away. Other birds don't have the level of maneuverability that the Falcon does and thus even with the excellent eye sight...
I have a folder that is connected via VPN (through my firewalls at both locations) over SDSL and I use it to transfer important business files. I started transferring a file and it gave me the following errors: "Paths are too deep" and I tried it again and it said "network location not found". I...
Title says it all. Which Sedan (aka Saloon car for you Europeans) has the highest safety standards of 2003 or 2004 and does it at a price that's close to 22,000? Thank you!
Right now we are basically looking at the Volkswagen Passat GL series for around $22K US or the S40 from Volvo for the...
Thanks! It worked! Sounds pretty good too. If anyone else is thinking of doing something similar, this is a great way to get 5.1 with HDTV if you don't have an external decoder. ;)
I have a 5.1 Klipsch ProMedia setup with 1/8" miniplugs (i.e. small stereo headphone plug size, 3 in all). One 1/8" plug is for center/front, one is for rear and one is for the subwoofer/amplifier. I just got a new HDTV and a set-top Progessive Scan JVC DVD Player that are connected with...
Because Mexicans are notorious for no having insurance, not being legal occupants of the US, and generally causing problems. I am not referring to the hard-working, American Citizens who happen to be Mexican. I am referring to the illegals who break the rules at the American Tax Payer's expense.
Lee Priest. The guy gets upwards of 300lbs in the off-season and goes down to a ripped to the bone 215 or so during competition. I've used this system for a while, only I don't achieve porcine weights, just 20-40lbs over my competition weight. The best way to lose weight is to gain muscle and...
When I was in the Marines, we used to call men with facial hair "pussy face".
I alays had stubble because my beard grows fast, it comes handy in boxing when you lock up. I always pounded my chin into the other guy's collar bone or face. Gets them off you fast so you can connect as they back pedal.
I've actually soon that happen. A guy I know owns a limo service here in Florida and he made someone a bet that it could handle the dunes. Got it stuck in on a sand dune and decided to hook a jeep up to it and got it stuck worse than ever. It took two 4x4s with big old MT Bajas on them to pull...
