Lexus LF-A test driver dies in crash

I heard about this last week. My condolences go out to his family. Lexus Magazine actually has a good interview with him up which includes a nice little tribute. He was super passionate about his driving and had a huge role in shaping the LFA.

Crossfit OnRamp 2 week class. Starting next Monday. Tell my mom I love her.

I went once with my roommate in college. After 20 minutes I threw up because the workout was so intense. Good luck - but ease into it or you will be in a ton of pain.

Are there jobs for people who put music together for events, dance productions, etc.?

I know in Television and Film they have music supervisors who oversee what songs are used in the movies or shows and negotiate with the publishing houses for the rights to use them. They usually work with the Director to choose which songs they think fit best in a certain scene.

What was your sweetest championship as a fan?

UGA winning the 2005 SEC Championship. No one thought we had a shot against LSU and we came in and dominated for the entire 60 minutes.

Road Trip Fans

Any road trip fans out there? I just flew out to California and drove Hwy. 1, from San Francisco to LA, stopping in Big Sur to hike Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park, Andrew Molera State Park and some other spots. Absolutely gorgeous - though scary at times on Hwy.1 due to the cliffs. Anyways, Lexus...

Agreed. I think Uruguay is playing quite well right now and expect them to handle S.Korea and I think Argentina is going to win the whole tournament. Hopefully the US can get by Ghana...I'd be real happy with getting to the semis.

Pandora....most overhyped service ever?

I like it a lot but I'm also a big fan of Groove Shark. Because you can stream full albums, legally, including brand new ones.

Gym Etiquette.

I'm still new to the whole lifting game and when people give me advice it's very helpful...the last thing I want to do is injure myself. Though, it is kind of embarrassing knowing that you've been doing an exercise wrong for quite some time.

Ahh the age old debate. My brother has a Canon Rebel, which I have shot with before, and I liked it quite a bit. Now, I'm not a well versed photographer but I found it to be very user friendly and took some great photos but my the photographers I know always say the lens is the most important...

No Buckeyes haters this year?

I'm a UGA fan but normally don't like the Buckeyes because they've sort of laid some eggs against SEC teams in the national championship games. But I can't really talk much seeing as how we continually get blown out by Florida.

I don't think Cowher goes to Buffalo. There aren't enough pieces in place there IMO for him to consider it.

Victor Wooten has always impressed me. Phil Lesh is pretty good too - though both play in jam bands and I'm not all that into that kind of music. But in terms of technical ability they both are solid.

Why did genesis and SNES music sound different?

Good info. Regardless of which ones sounded better I think video game music overall was better then it is today. I just remember growing up that most of the titles had some killer theme songs...I don't really think many of the new games do.

Airport problem on Powerbook G4

I have 2004 Powerbook G4 - I know it's old, but I'm having a heck of a time with the airport card these days. It often fails to receive a Wifi signal, even when I'm next to the wireless device. When it does find it it usually drops it after 5 minutes or is ridiculously slow. Anyone know of a fix...

Why do banks push debit card use?

I generally feel it's the merchants that push debit card use (for obvious reasons) and not the banks. But another possibly reason to want debit card use besides transaction fees and overdrafts is to consolidate your finances (they get a big percentage of your business), and as a result maybe...

Yeah, I will. Walgreens is advertising $25 flu shots at the Take Care Clinics, so I will likely take advantage of that since I usually get the flu a couple times a season without.

TomTom wants $80 to update my maps...

New TomTom's come with a Latest Map Guarantee, which would've let you download the most recent maps for free. Those last for 30 days. Since your device is a bit older, you'll have to pay to get the maps up to date. If you were to purchase the same model from Newegg, it would likely still...

you can get a fully loaded kia forte new for about 18-20K. the forte starts at $13,695, and the reviews are solid, so it's not a bad place to start

Yeah, and you can get leather seats on the EX class of the Forte, which runs about 2,000 cheaper than the comparable Honda Civic. (Base of the Forte EX is around 15,795, and the equivalent Civic is around $17,500.)
