CPU fan stops on its own

ok, that makes sense. However, with that stated it still should optimize performance since it is a 4 wire fan on the Core 2 6400. The only thing it states is that it may not reduce the fan speed effectively NOT TURN IT OFF COMPLETELY!!! :(

I did find it in a Crucial search, it says that the 2 gig kit would work. shown here. http://www.crucial.com/search/...aspx?keywords=CT673593 So i guess that means most 200-pin will work at the PC2-5300

CPU maxing out when opening Firefox

This ended up being a problem with my plug-ins. I had foxy tunes and torrent search installed and something else. I removed these and now its lightning fast.

I will try the driver cleaner. That sounds like its the issue. and no I do not have an xfi card only the sapphire x700 or 700x agp card

That looks great, but its not only firefox, its all programs. I spend most of my time on Firefox, so that is where I notice it most. maybe its time for an upgrade of the mobo and CPU. Anyonw know of issues with the Dell case on putting an aftermarket board in it?

yep a little grain of rice is all I put on it. Now to take off the northbridge maybe later. My mobo has built in speed fan control. I dont know which is which in my fans. I have 2 yate loons so I cant tell if they are the ones at 4000 or if the cpu is at 4000...

Speed fan temp

I have been messing around with my core 2 and just added AS5 to the stock intel CPU fan, before the temps where around 28 degrees Celsius now 17 degrees!!! Thats low isn't it? Also looking at this screen shot of Speed Fan, what is temp 3? its reading as -2 when I have only 2 fans hooked up...

Bad Heatsink fan or Mobo?

I have the listed below system with the stock intel heatsink. Every once in a while I will check my speed fan to see that cpu1 is 31C and cpu2 is 75C and the heatsink fan has stopped spinning. It takes a restart of the computer to start the fan back up. I double checked the temp by looking at...

did i burn my cpu?

Yeah I run 31 to 28 on speed fan temp monitor. However my stock Heatsink fan keeps stoping, and my temp on cpu1 stays at 32, but cpu2 temp hits 75. Only a restart kicks it back on. Bad heatsink fan?

well, these music people have a bone up you know what... I think I will check out the emusic.com I saw in their ipod cases a card for 75 free downloads with a subscription. So I guess that would be a start, as long as they dont make them expire. I think I would keep a membership at 10 a month.
