A number of the dual core Atom CPU+motherboard combos are fanless. Some of them like the Zotac board include an onboard connector for a power brick (fanless), instead of requiring a regular PSU.

Harddrive problem with new PC build

In my experience, that message means the HDD booted first, but it was found to be blank, giving the error. Is the CDROM set as the 1st priority boot device in BIOS? Is the HDD model number displayed in the BIOS anywhere? Does the BIOS have a SMART check utility built-in? You may want to try...

Internal Drive showing as removable

Yes, it's normal. It might depend on the motherboard drivers installed. Even if you try to eject it, it should give a warning about it being a system drive. It's not really a problem except for the icon present in the tray.

What version of the program are you using? AFAIK, 4.0 has problems, and 3.3 should be used instead.

warm.. $129.50 64gb MLC flash samsung ssd.

From what I understand the 256GB is using the second gen controller, which is why the speeds are so much higher. It would also explain the deals lately on the older first gen Samsung SLC and MLC drives - OCZ Summit and others will be hitting the market soon.

The story is on Gamespot now, too. I wonder how this fits in with E3, which is at the beginning of June this year. Would they drop the price if Sony does the same? Even if they are Jaspers, it seems like a smart idea to wait the extra month until E3 is over, just in case.

Thanks OP. I'm a bit late with this post because of ground shipping to the east coast, and then finally getting around to installing the drive yesterday. Anyway, I tested Windows 7 public beta on it and the install went smoothly. The drive is snappy and a welcome upgrade over the 5400 RPM...

eVGA problems...

The early EVGA 7600GS cards that had a fan (instead of the passive heatsink) had non-working DVI ports. They fixed it a long time ago, there's a BIOS update on their site.

Best AGP Low Profile Video Card?

I had the 6200 in my old SFF and it was fine for everyday stuff. I never tried gaming on it, though. Get a fanless version to cut down on the noise.

If it's hanging during install, wait at least a few minutes. On my machine when it loads the desktop GUI, it sits there with no HDD/DVD activity for a while before loading the rest of the windows. If your MD5 was good, did you also have the DVD burner program do a data verify after the burn...

No DVI signal on my new Hanns 19"LCD

I assume the card has both DVI and VGA ports, but have you tried one of those DVI->VGA adapters plugged into the DVI port? If you get an analog signal through that, you could rule out that the DVI port on the card is completely dead.
