Asus Commando - user experiences ?

I am using a Zalman 9500, so far I have noot seen a need to replace the passive coolers. Sorry for the slow reply, have been traveling. So far this is a great Mobo, no complaints. Anyone try the 0803 bios yet?

An update. There is no way to turn off the defrag as yet. That means if you are using Diskeeper or if you do not want your huge additional HDD that has all your videos on it defraged you are out of luck. There are many complaining about this on the MS forum.

Thanks for the great review, I am thinking of dumping Symantic System WOrks for One care. I have already stoped using Norton SPeed disk for Diskeeper. I love diskeeper. Can I use the One Care tune up but disable its defrag and still use Diskeeper?

Power supply help.

Which pin is missing? You may have a PSU with out a -5V rail and therefore no pin. The new MOBO's do not use -5V so many of the newer PSU's do not have it.

Not sure what's wrong

Check your PSU. The hissing sound could be a leaking electrolytic capacitor. The Caps on your MOBO could also be doing it but the larger ones in the PSU are more likely to make an audible hissing. When you let the computer cool down does it then boot? It for sure sounds like a PSU or something...

Quick X-Fi Question

I have both on different computers. Through very high end speakers I can not tell the difference. I do like the drive bay however, mainly for the headphone jack. Is that worth the extra money? Prob not.
