I have a Synology DS214play and am wondering if there are benefits for an upgrade to DS218+.
Mainly used for storage, backups and transcoding videos to the TV, iPad etc. I have 2 x 3Tb drives in the DS214play.
Having asked / read a lot, I am still confused / not sure on what the best combination will be.
I have decided on:
Asus ROG Crosshair VIII (wi-fi) motherboard
Ryzen 7 2700X Gen 2
Dark base Pro 900 Rev 2 case
Corsair RMx 750W PSU OR be quiet! - Straight Power 11 750 W 80+ Gold
Sapphire -...
For the Rysen 2700X, is the stock fan good enough for home video, browsing, some light gaming etc...? Otherwise, what would be a good fan under $100 mark please?
It is a few years since I last built a PC. Am puzzled with the PSU and Asus Crosshair VII Hero Motherboard connections to Corsair RM750i PSU. I can see where the 24pin connection goes from MB to PSU but not sure about the 8 pin / 4pin connections on the MB. Using Ryzen 2700X CPU, do I need the...

I have this case and am planning to use it in my upgrade. The only issue I can see is that it has USB 2 port on the front side.
Will this case be ok with the following upgrade?
I will upgrade the Motherboard (ROG X700X), PSU to 750W, X2700X and new 32Gb memory.
Am planning to upgrade my PC. Will keep my Cosmos 1000 Tower case and the 4HDDs + 2SSDs.Also, I will use my current monitor

I have a SSD which is my boot drive.
I also have 5 other SATA drives. The partitions show up as:

I am not sure what the differences are. The one "Healthy" is shown as a simple volume.
Should they be the same? Should I...
Hi
System is Windows 10 64bit.
Am upgrading my system to a new Ryzen based kit. I will keep my current case and the drives (2 SDDs and 5 SATAs). Question is:
Once the new system is built and I connect the existing drives to the new Motherboard, will the data still be there or will I loose...
When the PC is starting, hold the Alt+F2 keys. Download the bios from Asus site and rename it to xxx.rom (see your user manual for the rename for the bios file) and put it on a floppy. The Alt+F2 will seek this bios from the floppy and flash it hopefully.
AtiTool does not show me temprature at the bottom of the scree.
Speedfan shows:
Temp2 : 34C
Vcore : 1.26V
+12V : 11.55V
3.3V : 3.36V
Vcc : 5.09V
Vin2 : 0.00V
5Vsb : 5.15V
Vbat : 0.00V
Any help in understanding these and the no showing of AtiTool temprature will be appreciated.
My screen randomly goes blank and the PC reboots. Happens at anytime with no specific application (do not play bgames). This is a new built PC.
Can this be drivers issue? I have the latest from Asus site but am wondering if there are newer Via 4 in 1 drivers around which may...
