Increase functionality in SetPoint software for MX 518

I discovered that it is possible to get the G5 like "Application Profiles" by simply editing the XML documents in the ProgramData Folder (On vista, I don't know where it is on XP). I'll post screenshots later. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY HARM OR DAMAGE THIS MIGHT CAUSE. (Heres hoping it...

MX518 - Cursor feels slow with Setpoint installed

There is a way. In mouse game settings (Castle Piece), change the "Speed and Acceleration" settings back to OS Implementation, then change the settings back to how they were in the OS mouse settings.

Why isn't it faster? 640gb WDC drive

I had a similar problem to you, except that instead of problems appearing in synthetic benchmarks, as soon as i loaded windows up, it was slow and jagged. Almost like dropped frames on the desktop. I formatted another hard drive to try it and it was fine. EP35-DS3R, E2180, 2 gb kingston ram.

Q6600 unable to run at stock speed

Q6600 DFI LP P35 T2R @ 4.0Ghz 500Mhz FSB

The LT one is the one, as someone said earlier, without the Transpiper. IMHO, the Transpiper is a HUGE waste of money. The stock one with the P35 UT sucks. Without airflow over it, and without an option to safely secure a fan to it either, the Chipset runs 40c and the PWM runs around 40c, IDLE...

Q6600 overheats with Intel stock HSF !!!!

Hello. I don't know if anyone here noticed my thread earlier, but it IS possible for the voltages to be way out. Mine where defaulting to v1.5, for a G0 Q6600!!! Anyway as someone suggested check the volts, because even the stock AUTO setting can cause this problem.

Holy Temps!!!

Last week got my P35-T2R LP delivered, put it all together and started her up. All was fine, as I also got a Ultra 120 Extreme (for later), but i looked in the BIOS and the temps were 45 stock!!!. Had a look at the volts and the board had OVERVOLTED THe CPU TO 1.5v. So I changed them back to...

Thanks for your help, but you see the problem is that the FSB IS 800mhz on the E4300, and this means that the RAM runs at 1:1 (i think, and sorta hope). The other problem is that unlesss the mobo on Auto tightens the timings past the rated CL 4-4-4-15 (CAS-TRCD-TRP-TRAS), then i have no idea how...

Thanks for the quick reply. Sorry about that, it is using an E4300 CPU. Like ive said, its not in my possesion, but im thinking of requistioning it to do diagnostics. That is another reason why i stated the PSU, maybe it is lacking. But again without it here with me i cant do parts swapping...

Well IIRC the reason why its limited in FSB O'Cin is not because its mATX, but because it has Onboard Video. Correct me if im wrong but I've heard this same thing many times. Also, looks like an awesome MoBo otherwise, just wish they were downunder!!!

Lol. I was thinking of trying it. Except for the fact that some off the ball grid array has come out of the RAM chip. I dont know if HIS will repair it though. It was my fault the caps came off. Plus its time (and an excuse!) to upgrade anyway. I could start to feel the GC show its age a lot...

HDD Problems

I am not too sure what the problem is but here goes. I purchased a new HDD, a Seagate .10 (perpendicular recording, SATA 2, etc) and connected it upto this motherboard, and nothing!!! I sent the motherboard back because after this no other HDD was recognised either!!! I got the motherboard...

Why are rechargable AA, AAA, C, D, batteries 1.2 volts?

Yeah but only one little correction, the nominal voltage of a lead acid battery is actually 2.2v per cell with only 5 cells.

Needs recommendations on watercooling and cases

Hasn't anyone considered having the radiators suck air from a ducting mod from the side pointed right at it. Best of both worlds, no?

Possible Watercooling for a video card

Thanks a lot. But I am under the impression that I would then still need a fan for some airflow over the RAM heatsinks. I was hoping to eliminate as many fans as possible.

Hi I have been reading these forums for a while and I thought I might finally ask a question. I was thinking of water cooling my rig eventually and was wondering what is better a full sized waterblock for the video card or a chipset sized one.
