Which SSD right NOW?

If you're taking reliability/longevity out of the mix, I would mostly agree with you on this. But I feel like the slight premium you pay for getting the more reliable drives is worth it. You most certainly will notice whether or not your drive just stops working prematurely.

Rather than the x25-m G2, wouldn't it make sense to get the newer 320? If you're sticking with SATA II, this should be faster than the older gen stuff. It's 25nm, but they're adding in extra reserves for that, and from the numbers I've seen you're still not looking at burning the drive out...

Internet speed in Windows 7 gets really slow as time goes on

In that case I'd say it's a software bug not related to windows 7 -- I haven't restarted my box in weeks (at least) with no problems. I haven't seen any other reports of w7 internet slowing down for others, so I'd take a look at what programs you've installed (on purpose or possibly not) since...

Need a good, low cost Virtual Private Network - got one you can recommend?

search google for "ssh through DDWRT and putty" there are good guides around. if you have a router that supports DDWRT, the whole setup process takes 10 minutes and doesn't require that your home computer is on, only that your router is running.

Can $150 buy better wireless performance?

Call me a noob -- but the current recommendation for great router is a wireless G? I'm confused, I would have thought that some N router, like the 310N or 610N linksys routers would surpass any G router. is this wrong? I see overwhelmingly good reviews on newegg, but haven't really heard of this...

That list was the current list of Active Sessions as seen by my router. I just ran that TCPView program. When it first came up there were a large number of things that went red and then disappeared. after letting it sit quiet for a while, the output is alg.exe:3052 TCP LOGENDESK:1028...

Internet problems...too many active sessions?

I recently moved into an apartment with 3 other guys, and my cable service there does not "feel good" at all, often. What I mean by that is that it feels slow and unresponsive, or else I'll be playing a game where I will suddenly see my ping skyrocket and/or disconnect. I thought the problem...

Yea, the dell website is where I got the PC2-4200 information, but as I didn't want to buy it from them (at a little over $100 a stick), I was trying to determine if that was my only option, as I had seen other types come up as "compatible" at different websites...and was wary about that info.
