I am trying to overclock my system however I seem so far unable to get stability with any sort of boost.
Currently I have the stock HSF that the CPU came with. My RAM is OCZ PC2-6400 with 5-5-5-15 timings. Im thinking its mostly the ram that is causing my problems. Anybody got any tips...
I just installed the 100.30 Vista Drivers for my eVGA 8800GTX. I get very very poor performance but I had the same issue with all of the XP drivers except 97.13. I get about 3000 in 3DMark06. I also have eVGA 680i based board.
Anybody else having the same issue with similar or different...
Got it fixed last night. Used the driver EVGA gave me on the CD instead of the WHQL one on nVidia's site. I am now using 96.89s. I got 10K in 3DMark06 now.
Yes I am sure(I am a system administrator). I just got the parts last night and I am currently at work and thus havent had much time to play with them. Posted here in an effort to save my self the time of having to figure out the problem tonight.

Im having the exact same problem.
When i first installed the drivers i got a power warning. I dismissed it but it has never come back again. I am using the latest drivers from nVidia(6.14.10.9702)
I am also getting in the 2000s in 3dmark06.
