I think I saw it in the BIOS somewhere, I'll turn it off and see if that works. On another thought, the old ASUS board used Gigabit onboard LAN, but this MSI uses onboard Realtek. Don't know if that would make a difference or not, I was thinking as long as the proper drivers are loaded it...

I understand all that clearly. But what I keep saying is -- when copying HDDs from the old ghost to the new blank HDD and hooking that one up to the new system (same hardware), Windows never cried about it. Then I could just do this through the registry to change the key, and it never once...

UPDATE: Finally got a ghost to work using disk-to-disk method. Took the freshly ghosted drive to its original PC and booted it up, but now I can't change the CD key :( BTW, this method is what I did from the old ghost drive, never had any problems with that ghost, I miss it now...

I tried Microsoft's tool... it seemed to work, but now I suspect it's a different CPU. Downloaded the tool, burned it to a CD, can't run it from removable media so copied it to the HDD, used it to change the key, requires reactivation. Unhooked HDD, brought it back to other PC w/LAN...

How long does it take for you to build a computer?

Anyone familiar with USB hubs?

I'm pretty sure the 7 port comes with an AC adapter... god forbid you try to run 7 things off the bus, I'd be scared to even try that. But no, the 2-port we were using was just bus powered, no external power. Which makes me even more confused as to what we really use it for.

If it were up to me, I'd go with the 7-port also. But this is for work. And you know how bosses are. "I DON'T WANT PROBLEMS, I WANT SOLUTIONS!!" I found out that the XHUB2's we get go to some guy in electronics department, then from there I dunno what he does with it. Can't be just for the ports...
