My x1800xt seems a little too hot

Where's this fan speed setting? I got the tray tools but I can't find it. I've started getting random artifacts (a corrupted frame every 15 or so minutes), but only when the GPU is on full load. To Bob: It's in the CCC under ATI Overdrive.

My x1800xt seems a little too hot

My x1800xt idles at 62 C and reaches 83 C at full load. I know GPUs get hotter than CPUs but this seems a little extreme to me. I'm using the stock cooler, but I've done no overclocking at all. Is this typical, and if not, is my card about to melt?

LCD Buyer's Guide

Mine came with the power cable, VGA cable, DVI cable, and USB cable for the built in hub. I don't believe it came with an S-Video cable, but with the mess in my room, who knows.

Video problem with WoW

Turn off Smooth Shading in your video options. You will have to completely restart the game (not just relog) for it to work. I've got it too and it's really annoying :(.

FiringSquad does image quality comparisons...again

Very disappointing review for one reason. Why would anyone try to illustrate differences in image quality and then put up low quality jpeg closeups? I can't get a good feel for the image with such noticable compression artifacts.

The price seems reasonable for a prebuilt system, and if it includes Windows XP, it's great. Have them put a quality power supply in though. I wouldn't worry about the sound unless you are into sound editing as well...you don't really need a sound card to play the beeps Windows makes. Check some...

What is the best gaming mouse?

I've got this thing too and it fits my hand perfectly. I got it for $8 from some Amazon OEM seller (arrived with terrible packaging and a manually burned driver cd...but hey, it was only $8). It's sad that there's so many fancy mice out there that can't get simple ergonomics right.

Please read Ben's posts on their message board. You are not required to pay the extra amount, and if you don't, you will get them the same time you would have had the email never been sent out. It's not Tankguys' fault they are getting screwed over by their suppliers.

Yeah I saw that...but look at the post times. I was first :\. Most of the problems with this board don't apply to me so I'm not worried about it. Is 0.1V really going to make a difference? The OCZ is 1.9V but it's only at 667.
