Getting RAM for ECS NFORCE3-A

What is 2t when speaking of RAM? Is that good or bad.

ECS Nforce3-a won't boot up winxp sp2

Tried to do fresh install but no joy. System restarts before the install completes and I have wiped it at least 3 times now.

At my wits end!!!!Wiped the HD cleared the CMOS and still cannot get the drive to load with this MB. Restarts before the fresh install completes.

Yeah I was trying to avoid that but it looks like the only way. Never had a problem with any other upgrades of MB like this.
