hey guys... i got a customer that had a mad boyfrend and he smashed the whole pc on the floor.. suprisingly the only thing that broke was the case and the connections on the mobo for mouse/keyboard and monitor.
The case is still useable and i put a pci VGA card in... but now i need to get...
so what do companies do when you bring your pc in to get it fixed?
they all have compaq disks with them or they have oem disks and use the oem key on the sticker ?
i have this compaq computer im fixng for a customer and im trying to install xp home on it with the serial placed on the case. But its not working. Why is that?
On the xp home serial sticker it says "Windows XP Home Edition HP Serial: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"

i got this card last week... i got the speeds to 650/1736 it ran fine.. but its been stock speeds for last 2 days... now i get these things all over... it seems to be fixed for the moment but should i RMA it because i dont want it to go bad after my rma expires. :(

Hey guys... i watched a few movies last night and when i woke up in the morning i had about 100 pixels on my screen blinking blue/green.... it was on my wallpaper mostly. And when i changed wallpapers the pixels would move. I rebooted and it still hapened so i took the card out and reseated it...

i didnt change anything.... havent rebooted for days so i dunno if its somehting i installed or uninstalled... but my desktop fonts are pretty damn big... i tried adjusting the dpi, the fonts sizes in control panel and also in windowblinds... still nothin lol

nope... its one of those smaller type computers... like the flat ones that the monitor sit on... so i dont have a motherboard to put in it... maybe ill just tell him he needs a new mobo and cpu.. then just keep the part that works beween the two :) lol

I dont understand this.. a customer is having me look at his compuiter that controls his security cameras. You push the power button and the power stays on for 4 seconds.. you hear a beep, then the monitor turns on... thn it shuts off.
i thought it was the psu but i hooked another one up and...
