What is the best TV Tuner card on the market?

From what I understand, dual tuners = record two shows at once, record one watch one, or possibly watch both. As long as you have a hardware encoder (which the 150 and 500 both have), I don't think you should notice any slow down as most of hte work would be done on the card.

Sorry about following my own post, but anyway...the pictures aren't perfect but they should show a lack of banding. The wavy lines and white grid like things aren't visible on the monitor, they're probably there due to how close I was when taking these pictures. Full Screen Lower Left Lower...

The Dell was on sale for about as long as I had been looking at it before I bought it (about 2 weeks), although that may have been their attempt to unload the old revisions. Given that it is still on sale, I don't think you'll miss the discount any time soon. Something I forgot to mention in...

darkswordsman17: have you heard back from Synthdude? Also, for those of you that use BeyondTV, how well does it perform? I found the site and saw a few bundle options for the software, and either a PVR-150MCE or PVR-150 that look like they could be a good buy.

I've kind of been eyeing this card, seems like it has a Theatre 550 on it. If possible I'd rather just get one card instead of two, as at the moment I don't plan on doing a whole lot of recording, and I don't think there's a whole lot of HD around here at the moment. Any idea on when the 650...

Tuner Recommendations?

I saw something about a Theatre 650 coming out/being out, think it'd be worth it to wait for that one? Also, would there be any problems with driver conflicts if, for example, I got an ATI tuner since I'm running Omega Drivers? I ask because I'm not sure what software/drivers would be installed...

I'm considering purchasing a TV tuner card for my computer, as the idea of digitally recording shows appeals to me. I'm not really sure what's good and what isn't, so I'm looking here for some ideas. Has to be a PCI card, as my mobo doesn't have any PCI-e slots. A card that can record HDTV...

Got my 2007WFP Today

I am rather happy with this monitor, however with any luck I can get that one pixel unstuck. The only modern gaming I do (for the moment) is some Guild Wars, and the picture seemed lovely when I tested it a little. I haven't really tried scaling yet either, but I do want to try playing...

Planning on buying:

I think "no dead pixel" means if your monitor has 1+ dead pixels when you get it, you can get it replaced.
