Consumers Credit Union has a similar account that gets 3.09% interest, up to 4.59% if you jump through more hoops and have their Visa credit card.
It is super easy for me to meet the requirements. My work lets me set up direct deposits very easily, getting 12 transactions a month is no...
But at age 65 you can withdraw at no penalty (you will be paying regular taxes on it though). So an HSA is at least as good as a traditional IRA (tax free going in, taxed coming out after age 65), but if you pass medical expenses through the money is tax free both in and out. And even better, if...
The really cool thing is that there is a greater type of infinity that describes the real numbers (uncountable infinite) between 0 and 1 then the infinity that describes all of the integers (countable infinite). Both are infinite, but the reals are even more infinite. Also cool that there is a...
$40 is more or less what it costs for me to get an exam in person anyway (plus insurance reimburses me). Besides the slight time savings, I don't see the appeal.
$40 Eye Exam + Zenni Optical = Inexpensive Vision Correction
Basically funky things happen with infinity alternating sums. That bit where he says S_1 = 1/2 is true enough, but you can also make it "equal" to any number you like.
Now I have no idea what what the implications in physics are, there is likely some reason why 1/2 is a useful number to use...
You should be able to find some HSA provider that has no fees, it probably won't have any decent investment options. But seeing as you only have $2000 to work with and can't add more, investing probably isn't worth it. Some quick googling returns a number of results of places that have HSAs...
I use the t-mobile $30/month plan as my mobile internet for my train commute. There is no tethering "fee", whatever you favorite method to make your phone a hotspot will work just fine (you can even throw your t-mobile prepaid sim card into a dedicated hotspot device and it will work just fine)...
There were half a dozen people behind the counter at McDonalds, all keeping busy doing nothing, had to wait 5 minutes with no one in line before they took my order. Coffee was "eh" and was only 3/4 of the way filled up.
I am glad I was able to call in and be on the air during their last couple of seasons. So many fond memories of their show, it would always be on the when my dad would be working around the house on Saturdays growing up.
Good thing there are so many episodes, I've probably only heard less than...
I think the moral of the story is that it actually not that difficult to do a lot of damage. Thankfully most people are sane and thus don't want to. Those that are insane often aren't smart enough to do it without being caught.
Every Target I've been to lately has the new terminals. Lots of other stores are upgrading too. Even the Subway store's new cheapy terminal has a slot for it.
While it is true that if you go to a PC manufacturer's website (Dell, Lenovo, etc) and spec out a laptop similar to a Macbook Pro you do get a somewhat similar price, it is important to remember that you are looking a the regular retail prices there. With Apple you might be lucky to get maybe...
If your renewal date is after the cutoff, follow these instructions to buy a "Gift" Prime membership at the current rate.
From slickdeals
It is even better because you can use your gift card balance to pay for the gift membership.
Keep in mind with these sorts of statistics that something like 25% of households in the US have a negative net worth. So that means a beggar in a third world country with a penny in their pocket (and no debt) has a higher net worth than many Americans. So obviously just talking about net worth...
Tracking is not required for shipping with Amazon. It is however highly recommended and it is part of their seller metrics. You could if you wanted to mark the item as shipped and hand deliver it and Amazon would have no issue with that.
Heck you can even buy Media Mail with no delivery...
My biggest gripe with our health care system is it is near impossible to figure out how much something costs beforehand. Imagine if buying something on Amazon was like getting health care: There would be no prices. You would get a bill 3 weeks later from your insurance company stating that they...
I got this for to give as a Christmas present this year. Retails for $75 or so, and previous year's versions go for a little over MSRP, so even if she didn't like the present, just wait a year and sell it and make $30 :)

I tried it the other day, it was tasty, but not worth $4.99 to me (at least not compared to Costco's other cheap food items). I think $3.99 would be a better price point. Or at the very least, give a drink along with it free
That's exactly my problem with OG. Pasta is so cheap and easy to make at home, so why am I paying so much for it at a restaurant? It makes sense to eat out for items that are difficult or annoying to make at home. But when 75% of the menu could be made at home with little effort and few...
My advice for shipping Priority Mail is to weigh the item, print the postage yourself (either through USPS.com or PayPal's site (which allows you also to print off First Class postage, which USPS.com doesn't)) and then either drop it in your mailbox, or schedule free pickup from your door...
I switched back to the old version, so maybe they have added the feature since, but you can't do multiple destinations. Also there is no map scale, street view is clunky, and the entire thing takes longer to load. Also I've had it crash google chrome multiple times...
I hope they get those...
First off, the writer of the article most be missing the $800 in spending money for gas/food. The monthly expenses are things you get bills for once a month, you pay for gas and food as you need it and when you get it.
Secondly, that budget is wacky.
I'm insuring two cars with comprehensive...
One way to look at it that might be helpful. If you had a paid for house, would you go get a mortgage to have a lump sum to do something with?
For me the answer is no, I wouldn't do that. So my plan is to pay off my house quickly because the peace of mind is worth it to me. Of course that is...
My plan for just about everything computers it to wait for a fantastic deal on something, keep it for a year or so until another awesome deal come along. Sell the old one used for pretty much what I bought it new for, and then upgrade for free.
I have great success with this method for computer...
They do require products to be legitimate, but they don't check (at least they don't check everything). Just report the seller to Amazon, you'll get your money back and the seller will likely have their selling privileges revoked (especially if this isn't the first time it has been reported)
It looks like 15 year rates are at about 2.9%, and $1500 closing costs (?, not too sure one this one)
If you decide to stay with your mortgage and instead of refinancing throw that $1500 closing cost towards the mortgage. By my calculations, if you pay off the $55k-$1.5k in 5 years at that...
I would go with Page Plus's $30/month plan: 1200 minutes, 3000 texts, 250MB of data on Verizon's network. You can bring in just about any Verizon phone. You can get the refill cards for about a 5% discount
Other good option if there is decent coverage where they are is Virgin Mobile. Used to be...
I saw this fantastic device at Goodwill today for $20.00
No idea what I'm going to do with it, but it looks awesome and I know at least the optical sensor (Navi FX-300 series, if you can't see it in the pictures) is worth a little more than that $20
So it appears that it can move up and...
I love those types of surge protectors. I have it for my computer, I turn off my computer and my monitors, speakers and printers all automatically turn off.
To solve the issue of adapters blocking ports, get one of those "squid" style ones

I assume there is some limit on how long the check is valid (like 90 days after issuance). You should go to your bank 5 minutes before closing on the last day that you can cash the check and frantically deposit the check.
