I would definitely recommend going for a Colt, especially at the reasonable prices bob4432 has posted. IMHO they are the standard that all AR's are measured against. And in the long run they will hold their resale value making them a pretty good investment. I have 2 that are worth way more now...

It's been a long time since I have seen Colts in that price range. Hard to believe that once upon a time they could be had for around $600. The 6940 is a nice weapon. Go for it!
I have bought a few items from buydig without any problems. Shipping is usually pretty quick too.
Has anyone here used both the G5 and G9, and how do they compare? I love my G5 and I'm not sure I would like the flatter body on the G9. It kinda looks like a Razer and I hate the feel of those.
Like the OP I did not buy it when it first came out because of the mediocre reviews. I played it around the first of the year and liked it. It was not as good as the original. It did not have the "creep factor" like the previous FEAR games, and as others have stated it is a lot easier.
