Has scaling been fixed in Catalyst 6.8?

Or no. Of course ATi must and it will implement those - it's just a matter of time. And a long one it seems. And for wannabe-fanboyfighters, I already have x1800xt.

The problem with clone mode is the resolution scaling, if it's present. But on the other hand, it's bad thing also if it causes delay. Someone said that reducing dvi-frequency and disabling the other related option in ati drivers helps, but no one has tested it yet.

The problem I'm describing is only the delay between my action and the display to starting to show the image. Well, seems that the overdrive is the main reason with that ~33ms, which pretty much is the delay when summed with response time. Other factor in lag might be all calculations the...

Whats the point of widescreen?

Maybe it doesn't matter now, but very soon it does. I for one plan to keep my monitor for at least 3 years, so HDCP is a must.

Actually unless I remember wrong, the Dell is faster. Dells 16ms is trt and viewsonics is gtg.

It's nothing like ghosting, amount of the delay doesn't affect image quality.

It's not all in all that how well I'm playing against others, because if I can see delay between movement command to the screen it's very irritating. But if it makes me play badly against bot or whatever, that's negative of course.

I don't know who said it was only cursor related, but I'm talkin about everythinh you can see in the screen, not just mouse cursor. You got a point with that frame thing, but several people has measured and got uniform results. Some monitors display stuff in the screen later than others and...

There might be partial fix for input lag, but no-one has tested it, so: could someone try the following to test if there's any differences to your current results: uncheck the following boxes in ATI Catalyst Control Center -Reduce DVI frequency on high-resolution displayes -Alternate DVI...

So untrue. Input lag: time from moving your mouse to it showing on your screen. Big S-PVA-panels have input lag of around 50-60ms. That can be tested by runnnig crt and tft in clone mode with clock running on screen and then taking pictures of them. Of course they must be ran at same Hz.
