Make sure he didn't plug the cable into the same one by accident. Remove the old Card (if you can). Reset the TCP/IP stack (google it). Try a new cable. Linux live CD like suggested.

The processor temp seems in range, GPU might be a tad high. Who is the Video Manufacture? Like the previous comment, the ram and HD might be a bottle neck for the new CPU and MOBO. Change the ribbon/sata cable on the HD see if that helps.
