Finally got my system to post (DOA cpu or c2d not recognized by mobo, dont know which yet) but its runnin corsair 2x1gb ddr800 and seems to be running just fine.

after installing a celeron CPU from my local store the system posted just fine. In the process of flashing new bios then trying c2d again.

Using the Zalman 9500. Have to say that Im not as impressed with it as I thought I would be. The way it mounts onto the mobo seems a bit weak to me (2 screw bar thingy) other than that well have to see once I start getting temps back!

I had an 80gb rap in my old comp. Sure it was fast but it wasn't worth it. Get a raptor oly if you want bleeding edge performance.

This kind of puts me on the ropes. I need a fully functional computer by 8/15. I was expecting to order my e6600 on the 27th from somewhere like newegg but now it looks like thats getting pushed back almost two more weeks. Stupidly I have already ordered a pw5 DH and am unable to return it...
Never ordered from there and have seen no indication if it is in/out of stock. I fear that they would take your money and say "well ship it when we get it".
Im gonna go to bed now and wake up in three hours to check for e6600's then repeat every three hours until they show up or its time for me to wake up for real.
The least newegg could do is show them as "out of stock" and have an option to email when they come in.

Amen to that. I have NEVER had a bad time dealing with newegg, and UPS always manages to break things.
I will always take Fedex as an option, even if it is twice as expensive for the same time frame.
