Are there any better or similar for cheaper? How about the highpoints, are they any good? suggestions? this will be for a new Vraptor raid0 setup thanks!

Will a CM V8 heatsink fit in a cosmos 1000?

because of the padding on the side panel i dont know it it'll fit. anyone tried this yet?

ATI 4870X2 or 4870 CF?

Just trying to see what would be the advantage of one over the other. I cant find much on direct comparisons. any links or suggestions? i already have 2 4870's CF'd, dont know if i should just get the X2 and sell the others or keep the 2 i have already. thanks have a :beer: on me :D

Blu-Ray on PC

powerdvd has known issues with vista and blu-ray, but not so much with XP. i have a blu-ray in my pc with powerdvd that came with the drive. you need to upgrade to one of the 56443452 builds that poweredvd keeps releasing, or you wont be able to play anything new that comes out. notably the...

the drives were working fine a few days before the DRM install. 2 days ago i tried to copy a dvd and it hangs at the point of where its going to start burning a disk. there was nothing i do/did differently in burning methods.

thanks, but this is a brand new install and i dont even have crysis warhead installed right now, i wasnt taking any more chances with EA and their draconian DRM BS.

interesting. i have another pc i can try to burn a dvd with, or i can swap the drives and try it that way. its just really odd that all of a sudden i cant copy anything, when a week ago i could copy fine. its the copying part thats borked, the drives read fine and write data fine.

ok, one of the burners is an LG GGW-H20L blu-ray burner and the other is a plextor PX-755SA SATA DVD burner. its definitely the DRM cause both wrote fine before the warhead install. i can write data to the disks but cannot COPY a dvd now just like i could before last week. i know its not the...

could DRM update the firmware on dvd drives? i even reformatted/re-installed winxp and still cant copy. i could burn anything before the install, now i cant burn jack, i'm pissed. it'll burn the image to the hard disk but then when it goes to copy it just sits there and does nothing...

it was a LG775 backplate so i just used the LG775 kit from the new heatsink and wallaaaa everythings good thanks all

finished installing new hardware/reboot message after adding RAM???

i just added another GB of the same ram, didnt really change anything out. i did change the heatsink to accomidate the extra GB but i dont see how that could have anything to do with it. i took out the stick i thought were bad and kept the other 3 in. i swapped them all out trying each one...

anyone heard of this? i havent. the funny thing is is that now when i click on the my computer icon it LAGS big time (10-15 secs for window to open slowly drawing) and the mouse stops responding but making big jumps across the screen and barely being responsive. it stops jumping only...

I have this exact problem also but dont have a hair dryer as no one in my family uses one :( so im stuck with this problem also what about agent orange or something then spraying the residue off with contact cleaner?

hmmm then i might try oc'ing a bit and see what happens. i dont have a clue how to though - i wonder what the default speed would be.....i guess i'll find out later today any suggestions for a cpu cooler that would be tall enough?

Is this RAM a good choice? i'm worried the heatsinks are too big, i might have to go with stock cooling until i find something better:( any suggestions on a CPU heatsink that will work with this RAM? oh and the board its going on is a gigabyte X48-DQ6 thanks mates

PC8500 1066 DDR2 vs. PC6400 800 DDR2

i'm thinking of going from corsair ddr2 800mhz to (insert name brand here) 1066mhz... is it that much of a difference? i heard that for my CPU (Q9450 and rest in sig) that the 1066 is the way to go, and if it is, whats the best brand.....i was looking at corsair dominator high performance rm...

4870X2 vs GTX280 Poll

4870x2 - i already have a 4870 and plan on getting an x2 or maybe another 4780 single, dont know yet. ATi's driver team doesnt abandon old games like nvidia's. i got ahold of some classics system shock 2 and theif 2 recently, and while you have to go on the net and get a community written fix...

i did, it didnt tell me exactly HOW to set the ratio to 1:1 though i just need to know what i'm changing to get that ratio, the FSB, or multiplier etc....

true, it said it was running 5:6 actually according to CPUZ with 5-5-5-18 (2T) timings instead of 4-4-4-12 on the sticks... how do i get to 1:1 and/or get my memory timings to what they are on the sticks? thanks:beer::beer:

no i didnt install it, i just installed the chipset drivers, nothing else. think it could be ram timings or/and isnt the cpu FSB (333)supposed to be running at the speed of the ram(400)? if i change my ram timings in the BIOS, think it'll make a difference? in the BIOS it says they are...

I'll have to look where that is - i didnt see it anywhere in the BIOS when i was setting it up...do you happen to know exactly what its called? i'll check out some reviews on the board also. thanks :beer::beer:

I dont have a screenshot but when i right click on my computer/properties, it says my q9450 is running at 1.99GHZ but the multiplier is 8x333:confused: also my ram is running @400MHZ so i dont know what the deal is :confused:

Physx cards worth it for ATi owners?

about 119 at the 'egg i hear its really not a good thing for physx to run on ati hardware since ati has workings with havok and i agree nvidia would love it though
