i plan to buy this board for my budget core 2 build...but i've heard it doesnt last long what's your take on this?...i plan to use it for a few years at least...if it doesnt last, i'll go with an amd build instead to fit my budget instead

I have a Dell computer, and i'm planning to build a core 2 duo computer. can i use my dell winxp cd to install winxp on the new comp, or is winxp on the hd and i just can transfer it over to the new hd, or do i need to get a new one?

you will get around 2100 mhz max with that board, a little under the 6400 im getting the 6400 myself with that board

Wait for newer Conroe mobos or build now?

dont get a x1900xt..you would be better off getting a 7900gt or x1800xt, both of which are better imo, upgrade now. the only thing that will happen is newer technologies coming out, but ask yourself if you really need it, and what will you use it for. just because there's kentsfield cpu's...
