I got the XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 as recommended above...Works greaaaatt! It was fairly difficult to install due to its size but it does the job. Idle around 38 and with games running around 45...Also picked up two Scyth 3000 fans...One of them works perfect but the other is soooooo loud that I can...
Sorry that quote was for oilfieldtrash...
I will def look into that heatsink/fan
JDJbuffalo, do you use any cooling things for your gfx card? I have the same one so i dunno if its my cpu overheating or my gfx card...
The problem is that my computer has been shutting itself off randomly after about 30 minutes of usage...When running a fan next to the computer, the computer stays on for longer but still sometime shuts off...I'm guessing it's a heat issue...
People seem to suggest the Thermalright Ultra 120 extreme. Found a few on this site http://www.heatsinkfactory.com...ocket-775-coolers.html
Would the $50 heatsink be ok? What's the diff between that one and the $60 one? Not planning on overclocking but I do play games...also I plan on getting...
i play a lot of FPS games a lot. Namely css and the mouse is def way more important than the keyboard. I personally prefer logitech mice. Right now I have the G7 which is the exact same as the G5 except wireless. I know most ppl say wireless is bad especially for gaming but I have had no...
I just upgraded from my 19" viewsonic to a 24" Acer. http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16824009154
Great monitor! 1920x1080 games work perfect with the 2ms! 2 HDMI Ports as well
i think this is for adding a whole new phone, not upgrading a phone. When I try to update it takes me to the premium site which you cant get cashback on :(
i was under the impression that the 3G plan was required when you initially buy the iphone but as long as you dont cancel your entire plan, you should be able to change your data plan...
i have the same situation...family plan thinkin about getting an iphone...is it possible to cancel the 3G plan after the first month without any extra fees. It shouldnt be a termination fee since your just changing a data plan? Also if you do cancel the 3G service is wi-fi free?
yes? you make it sound inconceivable...I'm working away for the summer so I wont be near friends/family so just trying to figure out some way to entertain myself without being bored to death when I'm off work
I'm going to work for the summer and wont have internet...Need some good single player games but the catch is I have a good laptop with the worst video card ever...its a lenova, meant for business so yea...advice thanks
lol...they have the supply right where they want it. The demand is still outweighing the supply so they can continue to keep prices high for longer. Once the market is saturated the price will have to go down :/
I got the Gigabyte DS3L Motherboard and I was wondering if it would support a SATA dvd burner...I'm assuming so since it has SATA plugins as well as an IDE/PATA connection...I also already have a SATA hard drive so that would take up one SATA slot while if I got a dvd burner with SATA connection...
Anyone know when the next Intel Pricedrop is gonna be...looking to buy a quad core...$280 still a lil out of my budget...
Doubt the AMD Phenom is going to provide any competition unless AMD sells them for dirt cheap
so if i already have a 500 watt rosewill i should be ok?
This is the rig i'm trying to run:
LINK
And I'm using an X1900XT for my graphics card...my 500 watt rosewill is about 2 years old, but still runs fine...should i get a new PSU? You guys really think a 450 watt power supply would be...
So what do you look for when buying a good PSU...I need one to power a quad core, high end video card, 2-4gb ram, 1 hard drive, sound card...I dont want to really spend more than $100
Newegg has a similar deal except with a MIR:
http://www.newegg.com/product/...p?item=N82E16820146565

Can someone tell me why this powersupply doesnt support Quad Core? If you click on specifications it says "Quad Core Support: NO"
LINK
How do you know if your powersupply supports quad core or not?
Yeah, I'm probably going to buy this ram...this is my whole projected rig:
Rig
I already have the graphics card, Asus x1900xt 512mb...wondering if I need the 650 Watt powersupply or if i'm good with my current 500 watt one...also is the 650 watt one good? the reviews werent so good...
I'm a little confused about the 64 bit thing...if a software doesnt use 64 bit than your 64 bit processor wont help right? And 64 bit from 32 bit increases speed of the computer? Also if your running something like a game, which isnt 64 bit, how would this improve if at all...thanks
So i'm building a new computer in the summer using the Quad Core...Question is should I buy the cheap DDR2 memory now or wait for DDR3...Right now 2gb of Quality DDR2 can be found for less than $100 vs. 2gb of DDR3 is easily $200+
I'm not sure...I have a rosewill 500 watt powersupply, lasted me almost 2 years now, no problems...i'm gonna upgrade my computer this summer to a quad core, same ati 1900xt, dunno what mobo yet, 2gb ram....you think i need more than 500 watts?
wait do you buy a heatsink and a fan? sorry i've only built one computer before and it was a long time ago with my friend who is a lot better at this than i am...i'm looking for a fan thats cheap and quiet but will keep the core cool enough when heavily gaming, with all these new games having...
I was wondering which CPU fan would be best for me...I'm getting a Quad Core Q6600 and dont plan to overclock it but I do a lot of gamming. One warning, for some reason I always seem to have the most trouble putting fans on, I once broke a CPU putting on a hefty fan...Any tips on which fan to...
So I've decided to build a new computer this summer...probably a gaming computer...Already got the case and graphics card...buying components slowly, probably gonna get a Quad Core and see if DDR3 is reasonably priced by then but for now I think I might buy a Hard drive so I was wondering if...
