With Newegg's 30 day return policy, what must you have done by 30 days:
A. Must have an RMA request sent it in by then.
B. Must have sent product.
C. They recieved and approved product within 30 days.
Thanks.
Cool, so my Power Supply, Video Card, Motherboard, RAM, and possibly Sound Card are all faulty/noncompatible. That's nice. Dell is looking pretty good right about now. :)
Yippy, another problem!
Now my sound isn't working. All in-game sounds and internet video sounds will not work unless I have MSI's Power Cinema running in the backround and sound is playing. I only got the in-game sound to work when I had a CD running on that program at at least 10 percent...
I'm so confused! I have to return the card today to Newegg if I want a refund or replacement. And lately people have been saying that the DX10 cards won't be out within three months, so the step-up program won't do me anything.
The framerate in my games continues to lag even more...
Sure does seem extremely low. :Q (about the power supply)
Although your friend's computer isn't exactly very balanced, his is pretty good, except for the 512MB of memory. I think him investing in some more RAM is more than worth it.
Your computer, on the other hand, is definitaley not...
Well, I did some more temp. readings and got the card up to 92 degrees C during CS:S and it idles around 63 degrees.
I haven't gotten that massive artifacting lately, but the moderate artifacting is almost always present now. I ran Oblivion, and the performance didn't seem all that great...
I think you may be right about the overheating problems. After a long episode of Counter Strike I started getting a ton of artifacting (almost whole screen covered in green and purple) and when I checked the GPU temps about 2 minutes later (after the game had been shut) is was still around 86...
Best for the money:

X1900XT - about $275.
Should come down even more in the future; great deal as-is though.
OK, then I think I will just order one of those 7900GTX's and get the 8800GTX (if that is what it will be called) in a few months, and that should cream even the 7950GX2.
The only bad thing is, Newegg doesn't carry them anymore. :(
You know, I think I am going to just RMA the card and buy an eVGA 7900GTX and use the step-up program to get one the of the DX10 cards. Do you think it is a safe bet that nVidia's DX10 cards will be out within 90 days?
Thanks.
Guys, I need your help please. I just ran the HL2:LC demo and only got a fps score of about 65, and the bechmarks of other 7950GX2's were 100+ at my settings. Does this for sure mean my card is defective?
OK, I just ran 3D Mark 06 again and only got 4600 marks. I ran it again just to be safe, changing absolutely nothing, and got 7700. What would cause it to change if I did nothing in between the tests? It just doesn't make sense.
OK, the computer store checked out the computer and they said it was fine. However, I am still having a few performance issues.
On the CS Source stress test I am getting about 100fps average at 1680*1020 4XAA 16AF. I saw reports of people with a lesser processor and two 7800GTX's getting...
Another issue I have been having is that my mouse (the G5) seems VERY unresponsive and slow on my new computer. In CS I have to set the sensitivity to 14.0, and before I only had to set it to 2.9. They are both set at 2000dpi.
And I purchased some from the computer store and some from Newegg.
OK, now I'm very confused. I just hooked up my old computer to my new monitor and it is doing the same screen fuzzy banding effect that it did on the old computer. I assumed that it wasn't the monitor because it is obviously affected by what I press. For example, when I close a window, the...
