Most boost I can get ???

if you get a vid card, your system memory might perform better cause its not being used up by the integrated graphics my wifes comp has 1 gig of ddr and uses a integrated gfx gforce 6150 and it eats up her system memory when playing hl2 source based games

HELP!

thats why i unplug all the cables from the back of my machine when i open it up i also let it sit for a few minutes so that it could drain of any charges not sure, but if there was a static zap i think i would have felt it, and if it was so minor of a zap that i couldn't have felt it, then...

ok so they got the psu back at newegg and they are out of stock and the product is discontinued they credited my account the cost of the part so im now shopping for a new psu i could use some recomendations somthing comparable to a enermax wisper II 460w ATX psu

actualy that is not always true depends more on if you are using good mic(s), and good mic(s) placement the crappy'r the mic the more you have to push your amp to make up the difference and even with a overdirven marshal you still need adequate frequency response which getto mics dont have...

HELP!

the thing is that i unpluged everything on the back so i could take it out and lay it on its side so it was not connected to any power source then i waited afew minutes to let things dissipate the case is a enlight mid tower so its got good access and such if somthing got zapped it...

so i plugged the psu into another computer and it wouldn't start it up so its getting RMA'ed back to new egg tomorrow, i hope they have a replacement only two months of minimal usage and that sucker went defective on me just for swapping out a pair of case fans

HELP!

i used my grounding strap yeh is there a way to test a psu if its taken out of the case and pluged into the wall with nothing attached to its connectors? like a way to test if juice is flowing so i can rule out my mobo and validate that it is indeed the psu

psu is a enermax wisper II 460w part number eg465p-ve fma(24) when i tested it a second ago i removed everthing except the 24 pin and the extra 4 pin and still nothing the fans wont turn no matter how i try to pwer it up, the lan port lights and diagnostic lights wont com on, and they...

i just tried to jump the psu with a paper clip in 14 and 15 then turnign the pwoer supply on to see if the fan spins nothing happens if the fans do not spin up and then stop does that mean its a dead psu?

biostar t-force 550 overclocking

within the bios there is a setting for auto overlocking, where it makes adjustments to all the settings based off of 3 default presets i noticed my fsb went from 333 to 266 for each core when using this feature i want to up my cpu speed from stock 2.0 to 2.2 and leave all other settings...

7600GT vs. 7900GT

im using a MSI 7600GT and in the cs source video stress teest it scored 138 fps this is at all high settings 1280x1024 with aa and af on lowest settings im sure a 7900GT is much better but i am toataly happy with the 7600GT

I just upgraded from a socket A tbird1.4 cause it nolonger kept up with my gaming. Good all around cpu, and still works great. Back in 2000 when I bought it, the xp chips came out the next day so I was screwed.

Leave computer on? Turn off for the night?

I turn mine off. Can somone do a calulation for how much energy is consumed during startup verusus leaving the machin on? Also what if your running on a 20 amp fuse instead of 15.(most houses use 15) I read somwhere that it takes more energy to start up than what it takes to leave it on...

Quality of hardware today

backin the day you paid more for the components, back in the day fewer people had computers soooo.... yeh your gonna get less issues because it cost 2000$ for a ibm 486 ...and they were not mass produceing parts as they are today it is not cost effective to make the old school keyboards...

New licensing terms for Windows Vista are a shocker.

i wouldnt wory too much about it just call ms and tell them your upgrading your machine and they will let you reactivate i doubt this will affect most legit system builders normaly it will assign an id based off a mac address
