Silent XFX 7950GT (570/1500) in stock at Newegg!

7950gt is a great performing card anyone interested in getting one. I got the eVGA one at launch because of three free games and the step up plan. If you are looking for specifically an Nvidia card, i would recommend the XFX version of this card!

Quake Wars does look good, but definetly a Battlefield style game with "mission" type gameplay. (something that will get old fast in my opinion) One feature i like about the game is how you drop in from parachute when you respawn. I own Company of Heroes and think it is extremely over rated...

I haven't heard to much about this game except for people complaining about how it was being changed for the worse from the original or something? Anyways, after checking out this short gameplay montage i'm really pumped for some online play in this game. WMP...

Bootup Problem

i just installed xp on my sata drive and it boots up fine when the windows CD is in the drive, but when the windows CD isn't in the drive it gives me the NTLDR missing and i'm posting on the forums off of this computer haha

Whenever i restart my computer and don't have the windowsXP disc in the cd/dvd drive it goes to the black and says "Missing NTLDR....press CTRL ALT DELETE to restart" i just reformatted, but this has never happened before.

I know how you feel, but patience is a virtue. If you really do not want to wait, i'd say go ahead and do it. It was the card i was going to order but for $470 on newegg when they came out i had to go with a $300 7950gt It really is basically a cool and quiet x1900xtx + 5 fps

well i should say this other than the 7950GX2, you won't get any better performance. you could wait a little bit and see what the Geforce 8800 turns out to be like because by the time Dark Messiah comes out, there should be alot more info on this video card.

i could imagine lugging that thing to LANS :disgust: i have been more than happy with my LCD for gaming compared to my crt the only REAL complaint i have is that some grey objects get pixeled with rainbowish colors (pink, yellow, green) i think i saw this called "breaking" one time

need help

max settings with no AA it will fluctuate from around 20-60 i'd say for oblivion outside dark messiah you should be fine (assuming you have a really nice cpu also because source engine is very cpu dependant) but i would say 50-60 fps constant

evga 7900GTO 512 or Sapphire x1900xt 256

i wouldn't hold out to beta perfomance (never know what they could do to the finished to product to make it run better/worse) anyways, i would go with the 7900gto because of noise and heat issues with the x1900xt

It's arrived! eVGA 7900 GTO

i wish i would have waited a little longer for the 7900gto instead of getting a 7950gt but then again, i also did get three free games (hitman blood money, HL2: episode, and Dark Messiah Might and Magic) and now i have $300 put towards the G80 (step up) instead of $250 ;)

X1950XT question

I think the BEST single card solution out right now would be the 7950gt. While its a good performer, it doesn't match the x1950xtx in performance

getting a card for DX10 right now is pointless. i'm just going to get it to take advantage of my step up plan. ($200 for way way better performance than i'm getting now? count me in)

I got Hitman Blood Money with the card right away. I never was interested in this game but it actually is damn good. I also will be recieving Half Life 2: Episode One pretty soon, and Dark Messiah Might and Magic when that is released.

Any busted 7900GT news?

i had a bad eVGA 7900gt i RMAd it to newegg after owning it about for 3 months and of course my model was discontinued so newegg gave my $300 back. i then waited for the x1950xtx to come for about 2 months, but then the 7950gt came out (and was only $300) so i wasn't spending any more cash...

Last AGP upgrade for BF2 BF2142 and Company of Heroes any adivce?

I don't even own a 360 lol! anyways, speaking of company of heroes, the more i play this game online, the more i hate :( i can't say anything about the single player part though as i'm waiting to play then when i move in 4 days and won't have internet for a while.

or you could wait for the x1950 agp card (which i'm assuming will perform better than the 7800gs). i don't know the estimated cost on the card though sorry. about gears of war....all they have shown are the main gameplay elements and how to use them. it would be like for bf2 saying, alright...

well, benches for the PCI-X 7600GS on BF2142 @ 12x10 with 2xAA/8xAF show it getting a min fps of 30 and a max fps of 40 (note this is with a CD2 setup and nvidia settings on high quality also) i own company of heros (and BF2) and i believe company of heros is even more demanding. i'm sure...

click my link....look at that slot pictures. open up your case and look at your mobo slots. an fx5200 is PCI, and that is probably all your dell has. (4 of them i think)

What TV should I get?

personally i'd wait a little bit longer for 1080p to become more common (i mean, if next gen console are going to take advantage of it, why not just wait? i'm assuming you are going to buy an x360 or ps3 though ;)) if not, i'd just go with an LCD from Samsung, Sharp, or Sony. your best bet...

My X1950 fan increases speed every few minute for about a minute - normal?
