From now on, it seems that ATI will include a two way internal connector that is on the card, which is supposed to increase bandwith. So Crossfire may no longer depend on the PCI Express bus. This also opens up the possibility of platform independent Crossfire, and of bringing "true" Crossfire...
I looked at buy.com this morning and their price was $389. It went up $50. This may indicate that they will be getting the E6600 in stock real soon. As we have seen, other places jack up the price temporarily when they get these in stock.
I just went to Microcenter's website and although they say that they have Core 2 Duo CPUs "100% in stock... while supplies last..." they are OEM and only come with a 90 Day warranty without the fan or heatsink. Personally, I don't think $360 for such a CPU is worth that much.
