Sites not displaying, forcing FlushDNS...rinse, repeat?

No video...not gpu...

ill try the cmos battery, last time one of those went i dont think i had these symptoms but its worth a shot if not, ill just buy a new motherboard.... doubt its the psu.... can i absolutely rule out the cpu for symptoms like this though?

No video...not gpu...

tried both hdmi (to tv, my usual "monitor") and dvi to a standard pc monitor, and also dvi from a 2nd video card to double check so not cable or monitor issue.... ultimately the computer isnt on though, its not on the network, its not booting or doing anything other than, well, turning on...

photos im looking at dont have 2 wan ports on the back, is this just a matter of configuring it? do i need this "security package" stuff they are offering? would getting a unit off ebay be an issue? just curious

its a small business, under 10 here just need a firewall for security. they are going to set up a VPN as an option,but who am i kidding, nobody here will want to work from home. If I can set up VPN later, sure, but it's not hardly a priority. I also need to get a load balancing router, I guess...

ill ask about the support but i doubt they offer any included, ill give em a call tomorrow is this a sufficient form of security for a business though? or should we just ante up for something like the above mentioned Cisco?

why would cloning 1 computers MAC have anything to do with fixing an entire network of 7-8 computers all on the same line? either way, didn't work.... cycling it last time fixed it. it's a Scientific Atlanta. I told them on the phone I want a Motorolla (I had one of those @ home for years...

I have no idea. Tech said to do it and it will work no problem....he clearly was wrong. Called ISP, told them about not accessing modem, he agreed the modem is faulty and we'll have a ISP tech here in the next 2 hours. *crosses fingers*

okay went down again. recloning the MAC address doesn't fix anything. I guess it was a coincidence it worked for him, as when this is done the router resets and by coincidence it worked for him. I just cloned the MAC twice and it didnt fix anything. Cycling the modem off is what fixed things.

okay so now that the tech is gone, 10 minutes later the signal dropped again. cloning the MAC address fixed things again, but it seems this will be temporary do i go exchange the router for another brand? demand from my ISP a new modem? right now we have a scientific atlanta in there btw...

i'll give it a try tomorrow, thanks unfortunately, they've already outsourced another tech company to come in the morning to "fix what I couldn't" so I guess once they come to the same conclusion (the ISP) and bill us for god knows how much, I'll give it a shot and ream out the ISP

Audio skipping, death-static, whatsgoingon??

ran CHKDSK.....no more problems so far at all....what the hell? that is, audio isnt skipping, but the clicking sound is still going on with the hdd. it'll cause youtube vids to freeze (video, not audio) for about a second or less. hmm, what's going on here?

yeah, i finished backing up just before making the post :p notice the skipping on both the onboard speakers as well as with headphones. I've only had the ear-killing mass-static happen when I've had the headphones on, to my misfortune.

Is there a way to split my modems connection to 2 separate destinations?

yeah, it's definately the Belkin itself. I googled around and it seems Belkin's N routers + Xbox do not jive for whatever reason. I was hoping there would be a way to do this without having to replace the router itself (which I've been happy with for my wireless PCs in my house)
