I called them up today and they just repeated the website - last updated on January 11 Epson Website. I asked about the California Appellate Courts showing the case was completed on March 19 and they didn't have a clue. I asked them if that might have been a separate lawsuit and they said that...
How did you get the information that it was mailed 14-Feb?? I have called the automated rebate line and all they say is that the check is paid and being sent out. It's been over 2 weeks since my first call and still nothing. They said they received the rebate at Jan 9th, so is there an email or...
I noticed in the review link shown by the OP that it said this memory used Micron D9 chips. I decided to contact Geil to find out what chips they actually use. Here is their reply:
For the GX22GB5300SDC, we're using Elixir, Eudar, Elpida as well as Micron D9. Different batches the chips used...
I'm going to be building a system for a friend who's on a budget. Socket 754 XP3000+, 1gb (2x512mb) ram on a DFI pci-e mb. So far I've narrowed down the video card choices to 7300LE or PCX 5750. Which one of these is better - they're within $1 of each other. Any other budget pci-e suggestions...
I read before that you could get a different BIOS on the 7900GT EVGA cards so they wouldn't run the fan so fast under light/moderate loads. You might want to hit the EVGA forums to see if that applies to the 7950 cards as well. If that's not a possible fix then the Zalman VF-900(as mentioned)...
Isn't the one from ewiz the plain P5B Deluxe while the ones you listed from Newegg and Monarch are the WiFi models? If so that may account for some of the price difference.
DEAD? Looks like they are no longer stacking the $15 and $25 promotions:( Here's what it shows for me:
Items: $163.32
Shipping & Handling: $6.76
Super Saver Discount: -$6.76
Promotion Applied: -$15.00
Promotion Applied: -$10.00
Total Before Tax: $138.32
Estimated Tax...
FYI: Might be a good idea to pick shipping that's faster than FedEx Ground. Rebate must be postmarked by 9/27, and Monarch says this ps usually ships in 4-6 business days...
The $20 rebate runs from 4/28 - 9/30, so it looks like you wouldn't qualify for that one (as you've already used it). However, the $100 rebate runs from 9/01 - 9/30. This is a different rebate than the $100 you already submitted, so it should be valid.
The Scythe Infinity cannot be rotated. However, it does allow you to mount the fan on any side. The Scythe Ninja Plus might be a little bit better fit for your application. The Thermalright Ultra-120 is also an excellent heatsink. It can be rotated 90 degrees using the S-type heatsink clip, but...

Really? I thought that in most cases the other percentage was water;) Anyhow, it's best to use 90% isopropyl alcohol or higher (99% if possible). 70% has too much water. I find Goof Off works really well for removing the tougher stuff - like thermal pads.

I don't think it's a refurb - just was unsure because of the 1-year warranty. These posts made it even more unclear to me:
BIGFOOTPI: hmmm... is only 1yr warranty- the other asus boards are 3yr. is this thing refurb/end of life/open box?
Seems fishy...
Got my shipped notice today. I know the Microcenter page said this mb has a 1-year warranty (instead of the normal 3-year Asus warranty). Has it been ascertained that these boards are refurbs? There was no mention of it on the Microcenter page:confused:
I don't think this was a price mistake:cool: I was looking around late last night and it was at the $129.99 - $20MIR price. So if it was a price mistake it was up for an awfully long time.
In most cases this can solved by rotating the heatsink 90 degrees (if space permits it). All you need is this Themalright S-type heatsink clip
Actually you want to use this Customized AM2 RM for Ultra-120
