    High E6600 Temps?

Sure :) That sounds like a nice temp, to be honest with you. I haven't tried cranking my board up that high, but if I could do it and get 65C under load I'd be a very happy bunny. From the looks of things, your voltage is more likely to undermine the life of the processor than your max...

    High E6600 Temps?

Sorry, but I have to disagree with that entirely. All I've read on these and other forums suggests that the people who deny that Core Temp is accurate are the ones who don't like the high readings it reports for their precious machines. I refitted my Scythe Ninja HSF three times, and on the...

    Core 2 Duo heatspreaders

So what temperatures are you seeing before and after? Using Core Temp or mobo readings? Just saying 8C doesn't provide much to go on!

    So to sum up C2D???

Personally I'm trusting Core Temps CPU temp readings and nothing from the motherboard. My P5W DH reading is 10 degrees shy of what Core Temp is saying, but CT seems far more reasonable, given that I'm overclocking to 300FSB. A lot of people are getting very high temps at stock speeds/Vcore...

    E6600 temps on p5wdh

Your temperatures are.. concerning, but not outrageous. I was getting 71-72C at 100% load with Orthos taking readings from Core Temp (the only reading I actually care about - maybe the CPU reading is too high but I'd rather be safe than sorry). That was due to a poorly-installed Ninja. Since...

    OC'ed E6700 lifespan longer than E6600?

I'm undervolting my E6600 to 1.225V from my Asus board's default of 1.325V - and I currently have it overclocked to a 300FSB. Somehow I'll be amazed if I've shortened the lifespan doing that ;-)

    Core 2 Duo Temperature Readings

64-65C is marginally less than what I was getting before I reseated my Ninja heatsink last night. Now, with my system overclocked to 300FSB (2.7Ghz) - E6600 CPU and P5W DH mobo - I'm showing 55-58C at full load having run Orthos over an hour. I'm afraid I can't speculate about Intel's...

    E6600 temps on p5wdh

I'm going to buck the trend of high temperature readings myself now. My setup is a P5W DH mobo with E6600 at standard 266FSB. I've fitted my Scythe Ninja three times. The first two occasions, I was seeing idle temps (in Core Temp) of between 52-56C per core, with load temps going way up to...

Just what the heck is E6600's stock voltage?!

My questions were regarding the core voltages people are setting for this processor, since I'm curious that the Asus BIOS seems to set quite a high default voltage. Regardless of whether CPU-Z, SpeedFan or any other program is reporting the voltage, the default voltage the Asus board sets is...

Just what the heck is E6600's stock voltage?!

CPU-Z reports the exact same kind of fluctuations as the VCore reading built into the BIOS, so I fail to see where CPU-Z is going wrong when it simply looks at the same reading. I haven't found SpeedFan to be at all reliable both at reporting and even working properly.

Just what the heck is E6600's stock voltage?!

I've come across a most strange situation. I have an Asus P5W DH mobo, with a Core 2 Duo E6600 processor - for HSF I have a Scythe Ninja. Now, I'm sure I haven't fitted the Ninja as well as I could (which I'll be refitting soon with AS5 paste) - so I'm not going nuts on overclocking right...

    Quiet PSU for Antec P180

I can thoroughly recommend the Seasonic S12-500W - just built my PC with one in the last week, in a P180 case. Not only is it really quiet but it runs nice and cool as well - rock solid build, too - I couldn't be happier with it :-)

Cooling Issue w/ E6600 and my first build

I get the opposite on my Asus P5W DH :( Motherboard reports 38-40C idle, 48-50C full load, while Core Temp reports 50-52C idle, 60-64C load. I think I'm going to have to remove my motherboard from my case and reseat the heatsink at this rate - it doesn't look good :S

Cooling Issue w/ E6600 and my first build

Is the 35C you recorded from the motherboard's sensor or the digital one built into the C2D (monitored with Core Temp)?
