Thats nice, 256 mb onboard memory though. Videocard prices seems to drop quite fast, That sapphire card over at newegg, komplett.se here in Sweden have that card also, at about the same price. Thought of this card: http://www.komplett.se/k/ki.asp?sku=327195 Price is a little bit above 270...

Hm, true. However, X1950Pro have better Benchmark and Gaming results compared to the new x1950gt, the gt may be a bit cheaper, i'll probably go for the X1950 Pro Gigabyte (512). The gt and pro version has about the same price range here in Sweden ;).

Havent really been up-to-date with the conroe awesomeness

In my point of view, the e6300 would be the obvious choice. I currently run the e6300 at 3.5 ghz stable. This is however with another cooler (tower 120). In tests and reviews Intel do have better processors, they are leading the processor market.

E6600 Overclocking Thread

Ah, ok. Yup it works to set a higher fsb :). Im currently running 486x7, 3.4 ghz, for a 6300, feels nice. However, i need to pick the correct settings for a more stable system. Im not that into system testing, but im going try to run two instances of prime95 today.

E6600 Overclocking Thread

Im currently running the 614 bios, however i can not change the multiplier above 7, my only options are 6 and 7. Is this because i have the e6300?, perhaps my cpu is locked at those multipliers, i would really want to run my e6300 at 9x380 :/, Perhaps i have to downgrade to 609.

Thanks for all information, i have the exact same specs except i have an E6300 and a Tuniq Tower 120 cooler. For now, i cant play around with it that much, because of no monitor (waiting for a dell 24!). This is a really interesting thread, good work Some1ne!

ok thanks all of you, and thanks agressor for telling me the facts. I read an old faq about thermal paste and processors, feel like an idiot. I've read some reviews and i now know how to do it the right way, and this time with thermal paste. The tuniq tower usually comes with thermal paste...

Thats because i've read that its not needed for a system to function, it decreases tempraturs with about 10 celcius. With Tower 120 cooler i should definetly not reach that high tempratures, trust me. There must be something else thats wrong.

Just read that its only recomended, but it is not usually needed (it lower temps with 5-10). So this is not the problem, if you read my thread, but thanks for trying to help me out.

SoundMAX Superbeam, P5B Deluxe. I've tried settings etc, but i cant get this microphone to work. Have anyone else tried it? I got it with my P5B deluxe board. Im tired of wearing a headset all the time!

Just wanted to report that its now overclocked to 2.8. Im gonna run some tests, but everything seems to run fine. The strange problem i had was solved with the 0609 bios :)
