ASUS P5W-DH and XBOX 360 LIVE

this is something i sent into xbox live tech support. they sent me a bunch of solutions that dont work. in summary, i need my shared connection 'lan connection2' to have a dns server address. it shows up on 'lan connection 1' but not on 2 hi, i've read a lot of the DNS error...

computer restarts sometimes

thanx nocturne... so after i turn off the automatic restart....it will instead go to BSOD right? if so, i should write down the exact #'s n stuff that pop up then find out what they are?

this ONLY happens when i play bf2 and bf2 is pretty much the only game i've been playing...i dont play other pc games...normally, i just watch movies, tv eps, and go online with it

i'm not home as of now, but i'll check when i get bak. its only a 5.1 so 7.1 is not an option, i'm pretty sure it has separate inputs for the center, front and surround speakers

a better case makes a HUGE difference???

yea..i figured it was the casefans probably...since they are somewhat old n whatnot. ill def swap them out for better ones. thanks for the advice!

sorry, i hit enter by accident...well here it is right now im running an old cooler master active thermal convective system case. its a few year old, but it still works fine my friend has basically the same setup as me, but he got a lian-li S80, when he runs his comp, you can barely hear...

is that psu that bad??? i heard antec was pretty good, it has good reviews n such....i mean, i dont plan on oc'ing that much but i'd like to keep it a possibility haha

New Mouse G7 or MX revolution

mx rev is supposed to be the best mouse out there, but it wasnt really made for gaming, so if u only play games every once in a while, the mx should be dope, read the review AT just made on it

New Monitor!

go wit the acer al2216w its only 22inch wide, but u get 2 for the price of 1 dell 24inch i bought it a few dayz ago and i love it

Gradient test

for me, the gray and smoother than the yellow scale. its barely noticeable, but if u look hard enough, i can see the differences i got the same results on my 2 monitors 19" nec multisync fe991sb and the 22" acer al2216w

Acer 22" widescreen for $329 at Microcenter

i just picked up this bad boy from a local microcenter...it looks great and no dead pixels! viewing angle is pretty good...not the best, but def good enough only bad part is the no height adjustment i give this monitor a good 8.5 of 10 because of its great value and size

Adding a FAN on my graphics card / Hard Disk

if u get a zalman fan, i got the zalman fatal1ty vf-7 which is same as vf-700, u can go on the zalman website, and it gives you a little movie showing step by step instructions, it was very helpful, rather than reading through all the instructions, it was especially helpful in installing the...

965 or 975X for E6600?

if u dont plan on oc'ing then 965 is fine, it was made specificaly for c2d, 975 is a lil older, but can oc much better than 965 i have the asus p5w-dh, its awesome

How to choose a 7900gt?

basically all the brands r the same...but i would go with a stock oc'd version just cuz its faster and it wont void warranty, but will cost a lil more...i got the xfx extreme for 250AR as for cooling, i went with a zalman fatal1ty cooler, which is same as vf-700

i'm in the audio settings for bf2, i try to make it use the x-fi as the audio processor, but it always says hardware error or something when i click it, then i'm forced to use the 'software' mode and not the x-fi am i doing something wrong? or bad drivers? it works fine on other apps..the...

yea, i read that article, but i didnt want to buy added hardware, are there are driver hacks which would enable this? if i were to get something like that, i heard another video card would do the job, so wouldnt i rather get antoher 7900gt? haha

running 3 displays

right now im running a 7900gt, is there a way i can run 3 displays at once w/o added hardware? i have 2 monitors and 1 tv connected, the gpu detects all 3 but it will only allow me to use any 2 at the same time. is there a way i can run all 3 at once?
