the availablilty of a 7900GTX over the newer cards is definately not equal, so keep that in mind.... anyways, how much would you be willing to spend on a new card, because that is a large part of the question, also another thing to take into consideration is what resolution do you play games at?

idk about model number for the sound card, but like i said its an Creative X-Fi XtremeMusic and the latest vista 32 bit drivers on their website i think its 2.15.0004

i just reformatted vista on my computer, and when i downloaded the latest drivers for my sound card (X-Fi XtremeMusic) i now get random crackling and hissing noises from my speakers. they are not always random... it also happens right after a loud noise has happened, or sometimes following...

game textures

my computer out of nowhere now displays textures in all my video games at very low resolutions. it was working fine this morning, and now im having this problem, and i dont know what caused it or how to fix it.... any suggestions?

the thing is, i had the same exact problem when i used my old power supply.... i got a new one because my old one didnt have enough power. unless its a weird coincidence i doubt its the power supply

need help

i just put together a new computer for my friend, and we just got the last part today. now after all the parts are hooked up when we turn the power on, the computer stays on for about 1-2 seconds then just shuts off for about 3 seconds, and repeats until you cut the power. i havent run into...

Samsung 206BW W panel (CPT 201WA04)

ya i got my samsung 216bw back in june and was suprised to open my box to a W panel. back then there wasnt any knowledge about this panel so i decided to ignore it... but now that its recognized i would also like to see if theres a comparison to maybe the other panels and what settings people use..

when im playing a game, or directly after i play a game, it takes some time for the computer to register that ive pushed a button. typing looks like im in slow-mo and playing a game is unbarable. i dont know how to explain how it happens so i hope this is good enough. if you need more details...

just wanted to get some input on what providers you guys got, and hows your service. seems that verizon was on top forever, but as soon as at&t and cingular merged they've come out on top. currently i got verzon and im happy as can be with them (i work at cingular :Q)

with dx10 rite around the corner, you might not want to get quad sli at this point in time, maybe get a good mid end card, and sli the 8800gtx's that are comming out. are 6 500gb hard drives really necessary?? unless you got a specific reason for 3TB of space, i would maybe get 1TB even thats a...

if you can, get a ~$200 card and wait for dx10 which should only be about a month, but maybe you can get one around christmas time... if you really dont want to wait, i guess crossfire would be a good option, but in all reality i would wait for dx10 cards and get one or maybe 2??

C2D System $1200 - Final Thoughts

it all looks good to me, i got the same vid card but i got the truepower 550w just to be safe, although i think that the 450w will do just fine. and are you sure that an 80gig hdd will cover it all? edit: whoops didnt see the second part of the message, forget the hdd part

E6300 + DS3 overclocking help. 430x7 stable, 443x7 complete lockup in windows

umm...probably just because its the limit for your setup. 3ghz isnt bad as it it you can definatley look at the stock hsf as the cause, getting a better one and some as5 would probably let you push it a little further

Are my 3dmark scores on track?

this is my old set up, and nothing overclocked: 5658 in 3dmark06 (i cant get the page to work, it only compares it to itself) after i oc both the cpu and gpu im hoping for around maybe 6k? so ya i think ur score is low

ddr2 am2 vs. ddr 939

well socket 939 is getting outdated very fast, and i wouldnt reccomend getting it. for the prices you can get a nice 2gb set of ddr2 667 maybe 800. the performances are not that different, but when K8L comes out, socket am2 will have the compatability for them, so its definatley your best bet...

well as of now i have an AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+, but i had to return my mobo ram and psu for certain reasons, the psu and ram are getting replaced, so im left without a motherboard, which is when i ran into problems. i dont know weather to get a high end AM2 mobo, and wait for DX10 and grab...
