AMD Athlon 64 X2 running very HOT!!! SOLVED!

Yeah, I actually managed to get it working with a few workarounds. I've also found a nice IP Filter Updater utility for uTorrent, so everything's running smoothly now. Thanks! :)

mmm, just oc the opty a bit more if your mobo can handle it. also, stick with xp as long as you can. switch to vista on your next MAJOR upgrade. i would say for games just keep your video card up to date. 939 isn't dead for gaming because those kind of apps don't care so much about processor...

I'm going to build a new desktop PC for gaming! Would you change anything in my setup?

CPU, CPU Fan, video cards, data hard drive choices are great, IMO. Skip the Raptor and go for a Samsung F1 or RAID your SpinPoint T166 with either a second or a third in RAID 0 or RAID 5, respectively. Get SATA burners, please. Overall not bad. Way more money than I'd want to drop, though.

agreed, but the corsair psu is pretty awesome. great specs. earthwatts psus have nice efficiencies and good amperage, though. price after MIRs are hard to argue with, too.
