Yes Avast is good, but nothing can find all malware. Try the mentioned scanners & ATF cleaner or CCleaner.

What is your AV & what do you scan with? I suggest trying MalwareBytes & SUPERAntispyware free manual scanners.

You might should post a Overdrive link for more thoughts. The yellow TechExpess at the top of the form. OOps wrong website for the test (pcpitstop). One year is not that old. Too many auto start programs, a bloated AV, malware?

I have no idea what went wrong?

I thought something went wrong the first time. You could have stated that the first time you changed my post, like friendly pcpitstop.com would have done. I saw nothing stating that it was moved. I am not a expert poster here, sorry. Why lock it, what did I do?

Fighting a persistent Vundo infection

DSF There is a new version of HJT being used, 2.02. A online analyzer found nothing, but that is not a very good check. A trained HJT adviser uses many tools to clean up a PC. Hope all is well after the reinstall.
