You're right. Sadly, it seems that Philips 200WP7ES is not available in US. According to the Philips US site, there seems to be no other good Philips 20.1" WS LCD's out there either. The only 20.1" WS I saw on the site is 200WB7EB, and with its viewing angles (160 / 145 degrees), it cant be a...

If you'd have read what I wrote earlier, you'd seen that that's exactly the reasoning what I based the purchase on. But I don't really trust the panel sites, especially when the Philips customer support says that the panel can be changed over time. So, if the panel is S-IPS, and the specs are...

About the Philips 200WP7ES 20.1" again. Philips customer support confirmed for me that it has an S-IPS panel. They did not have the information about the panel type itself (and said that it is concidered confidential information anyway, and might change over time). Seems that my old 17"...

Still looking for a good 20.1" widescreen LCD.. Now I stumbled on an interesting Philips 200WP7ES 20.1" offer. Any info about this LCD? At least according to TFT Central and flatpanels.dk it has LG.Philips 8 ms (g2g) S-IPS LM201W01 panel. Sounds good, right?

I wouldn't be so dramatic about the viewing angles. At least I won't be viewing the monitor anywhere near 170 degrees. It's however a bit different if the image quality or detail level drops already if you're viewing inside 90 degrees or so. Oh, don't be expecting to hear from my experiences...

Thanks xtknight. I guess I have no real choices (I'm really not willing to put 600? on a screen), so I'll propably give the LG 204 a try :) Any further thoughts about the LG? I've seen two or so user reviews about it, but if you've got more info on it, I'd really appreciate it.

The NEC MultiSync 20WMGX2 seems to cost here about 600?, AND the availability is really poor :( So that's out of the question. Too bad. It might be possible to get e.g. a Samsung 215TW cheaper (around 550?) from web shops, but I'd not rather do that. I like to have the service close if...
