"Others" are wrong. I use Ubiquity APs and the handoff doesn't require any user interaction, though it's not instant. You do need to set them up using a controller, but you can use the software controller that is free. If APs are the only Ubiquity gear you have and you don't care about...
At some point you will hear distortion in the sound as you turn the volume up slowly. That is where "too high" is. Whether this first comes from the speakers or the receiver doesn't particularly matter unless you are looking to replace one, but the distortion can come from either being pushed...
Wife is still using G4600 2C/4T on an H270 board with 2x4GB DDR4 for web, media and light productivity. Money went into the NVMe SSD. It is every bit as satisfactory for her as it was when it was put together, and I agree the single-threaded performance is still really good to the point that...
I found this tutorial extremely helpful in getting file sharing up on TrueNAS:

Microsoft will be able to purchase in a volume that custom-build can make sense for even small changes around the edges because semiconductor manufacturing capacity and specialization is at the point where customization for different clients is just a normal part the business. Expect to see...
Bad idea. You will set up an airflow-loop between the fans that will reduce overall performance. You want the overall flow in the case to be in one general flow from in to out front to back without loops. Only put a top exhaust fan behind the cooler and seal the mount in front of it. Two...
The software controller is set-and-forget (doesn't even have to be running) if you don't care about monitoring/analytics, and it will mesh multiple APs. More efficient than a hardware controller for most household users.
I had a somewhat similar problem. It seems the APs got adopted specifically to a years-older install of the Controller, and the new install could see them but not adopt them. They needed a factory reset to become adoptable like you tried, but I had to fiddle with the button a couple times to...
I would just unmount it and wash it, and keep the paint. My case is windowless tho so in practice I just ignore it, except for the air now and again to blast the chunks off.
Microparticles will get electrostatically stuck on the surface and a very thin layer will resist the gas-blast. Eventually as they build up, the color of the particles will stand out against black where it does not stand out nearly as much against metallic.
I do it all the time with my spares, works like you would expect (at least on Windows). I just use a sata 3 to usb adapter though like this because I don't use usb drives very much.
OP, your observation is essentially correct and more buyers are like you. Market saturation and technological advancement has undermined the willingness to pay the premium for flagships. Sellers are reacting by splitting the market, going all-out on flagships to get those willing to pay that...
2.0 to omni trades localization for space management. Omni can make good quality sound, but it will sound like it is coming from the speaker no matter where it is. If you put it on the side while watching a movie, the sound will sound like it is coming from the side. I don't see the gain in...
No, not at all. You need to use one of their controller methods to set it up, but after that you can ignore it except for updates. You can get the network controller app from Unifi downloads. That one requires Java tho which I don't like to have on my machines (so I stuck it on a man-childs)...
I put some UniFi APs together with the Asus router I have, and just turned off wifi on the router. Works great, and the latency on the router dropped considerably.
Sorry, can't really help with suggestions. I didn't like the keyboard and never sought another like it, and my preferences in a keyboard seem quite different from yours. I think mine is in good repair though, send me a PM if you can't find one more conveniently.
The model is Logitech Y-SR34, still have one in my basement in case I ever needed a PS2 kb (english version). A google search turned up some on ebay. Good luck.
Controller software does not have to be running for seamless handoff (for the APs at least). You only need the software for setup and monitoring. Running this way with two and no controller right now. The thing that sucks about the controller is that it requires java to run on windows.
I doubt you'll be able to set up roaming between the Unifi APs and some other router's wireless. You will need to either go all Unifi for roaming, or have to run two separate SSIDs one for Unifi and one for the router. Just go all Unifi.
Yes, get it off the carpet. Even 10 inches up off the carpet is a big reduction in the amount of dust. I simply built a sturdy wood box as a short stand for the case, almost the exact same footprint as the case itself.
Update: Asrock Extreme4 in stock and an option for $15 less than the UD3H before rebate. Any thoughts between these two? I can't really see anything on the ud3h that I need that can't be had on the Extreme4. Are the 4 extra power phases on the Extreme4 (12 vs. 8 on the ud3h) worth anything?
Thanks for your replies, all.
@kjm: Your third link is broken, but no matter as home cloud doesn't sound like something that interests me. Similar outcomes can be achieved with less elegant methods should that change. I was looking at the stepping issue, but the problem with C1 is highly...
Greetings.
I will be rebuilding my home server soon to expand the storage and improve data integrity and am trying to decide on exactly what hdd's to use. Hardware is a g530/H61, looking for two drives 3 or 4TB each to make a RAID 1 array with using ZFS or btrfs with ubuntu server OS...
I'm doing an upgrade from most of what's in my sig to a 4770k (long-term goal of 1440p gaming), but am feeling horribly indecisive about the mobo. The aforementioned GByte UD3H is catching my eye, but is there a better Z87 option by way of features for the value (or just the value)?
My...
