To answer your question, when the screen goes blank the system continues to run. The fans are spinning and everything. I also have my dual monitors on my PCIe card and will try to do otherwise to see if that will help.
I didn't check any system temps, but I wouldn't think that would be an issue since I am able to play for hours upon hours sometimes without issues and this typically happens within 30 minutes but I will be sure to get something so I can check on that.

I agree on the people with the cell phones. I can't stand people who are walking really slow because they are on their cell phones and don't look up to see where they are going to begin with. It's almost so tempting to throw something in front of them to have them trip.
I believe I have heard about this technology existing being more for those who are handicapped, but I don't think it's commercial. I would not prefer to use my PC with my eyes though. I'm fully capable of using my hands.

People really don't give a shit anymore. They live off their cell phones and can't put it down and not be rude. Usually if I am on the phone I will actually tell the person on the phone to hold on and pay complete attention to whomever is attending to me. I don't think that is as bad.
