Help!!!7950gx2 running 8x pcie on P5wdh

Not a fault m8 or incorrect setup, for some reason the AsusP5WDH will not allow the 7950GX2 to run at 16x pci-e, I spoke to ASUS direct who confirmed that 7950gx2's only run @ 8x, I have to disagree with the above post that 16x pci-e wont make any difference, whilst I agree that a standard...

Many thanks Filezz for clearing that up, I thought my board was a dud or something, anyhow turns out my Evga Superclocked 7950GX2 is a bit of dud as its max overclock is like 555/750, which seeing as its stock settings are 550/700 im not too impressed, anything over the 555 mark causes graphical...

Ok after having spoke to ASUS directly they inform me that there is a problem with P5W DH and the Geforce 7950GX2 boards and that they wont run properly at 16x PCI-E, I have confirmed this with Everest which states 16x PCI running @ 8x mode. So there you have it guys im afraid that 8x PCI-E mode...

Both of which have been done! Im not so sure that CPU-Z is reporting the correct PCI-E speed properly as I notice under the Nvidia Control Panel that it states Pci Express x16, also my scores in 3dmark06 are quite healthy (just broke the 10k barrier 10023), my EVGA superclocked card is terrible...

Guys need some help, just built a new rig, with a 7950gx2 superclocked EVGA card in it, I notice with CPU-Z and Nvidias driver in the control panel that my PCI-Express GFX port is only running at 8x and not 16x as it should be. I've tried everything I can think of to remedy this situation...

Need Help Overclocking New Rig Having GFX Problems

This is what im thinking, The Peltier uses another 50W of power! it does keep the CPU cool tho :). I think what I will go and try now is downclocking my core 2 duo to stock settings and reducing the Vcore to stock, then try testing my GFX again, thing is I started overclocking the CPU first...

Hi Guys Im new here but just looking for some advice, I just built a new rig and its a power full bit of kit (see signature), jumped straight into overclocking managed to get the ASUS P5W DH / E6600 Combo upto 3.7Ghz using only 1.55Volts and its totally rock solid stable, the board wont let me...
