My Windows desktop is spread over 3 screens - 2 from my main card, PCIe x16 ATI X1950XTX, and my 3rd desktop from a PCI ATI 9250 (512 Meg and 128 Meg respectively).
This third card is only used when I'm next door in the living room - I use it for watching media. The quality is great, but I'm...
Hi
I've got a card which is fully AVIVO capable, and I need a good piece of software to view the Video-in on.
I don't need advanced editing or anything, just a simple to use, quick to open media window that will show me what's coming in on the RCA-in cable (a feed from a Sky box)...
I bought a generic firewire card from Scan.co.uk (mboard doesn't have firewire on it).
Installed fine (PnP under XP, no drivers needed). I don't have a firewire product to test it yet though; I bought it since it was on offer and am soon to get a firewire video camera.
2 questions about...
I've got an ATI X1950XTX (PCI Express - double headed card) and I need a 3rd graphics output (2 monitors on my desk + a plasma in my living room).
I thought about splitting the second head but I got some advice to chuck in an plain old ATI PCI card (for a 3rd head).
Can Windows handle 3...
Yeah. Unfortunately, they're different resolutions: the Dell 20" widescreen LCD has a optimal res. of 1680 x 1050 and my Pioneer 43" will only accept 1024 x 768, both at 60Hz.
However, I'm resigned to that since when they're both doing their jobs at their respective resolutions, they look...
Thanks for your thoughts guys.
I don't have that card - I have an ATI X1950XTX, and I don't think it will output A & D simultaneously.
So to split it, I think I'll use the DVI-VGA dongle that came with the card, then feed the signal through a VGA splitter (active powered - like a Kramer...
I've got a high end dual head graphics card.
Head 1 is for my main monitor on my desk.
Head 2 is to be split between my secondary monitor and then down a 5m VGA cable next door to my plasma (which has a VGA-only PC input).
I was going to buy a DVI splitter but have been hearing some...
Hi all,
I need to run a VGA cable from the back of the computer in my office to the Pioneer Plasma in the living room. There are already some cable run holes, and I think I could get away with 10 or perhaps 12 metres.
Will the signal be ok with this length? It's going from the secondary...
Thanks for the info Cript, and the ATI links.
The 9 pin connector looks good, but the 7 pin connector looks as though it has a black plastic bar on the inside that means the connector won't fit in the socket (like the little black bar on the inside of an S-Video connector).
Or maybe the...
Hi all,
Firstly, hi to all of you and thanks for things you've solved for me in the past; now I'm a member.
I just got my grubby little hands on a lovely ATI X-1950-XTX. What a beauty!
My question is - it came without any breakout boxes or cables - and I'm confused about the S-Video...
