Hi guys, Im an AMD user who recently switched to Core 2 Duo and I noticed that the Core 2 chips dont have a die to put Artic Silver on ... so what do you guys think is the best way to apply thermal compound to the chip? spread a thin layer all over the surface, a little dot like AMD chips or...

thanks for clearing that up :) im upgradeing from a 6600gt agp so i wouldnt know how the two look side by side in an image quality comparison
Edit: Yes I made the switch to PCI-E with an E6600
im not sure about the image quality either ... i hear mixed reviews saying both have better quality then each other but no side by side screenshots which is why a review would be useful :)
something to think about next time you guys do your buying guides since the two are nearly the same...
i already beat oblivion :) no point in giveing the video card more points for a game I already beat and am never going to touch agian if they hadnt gotten rid of the 512mb version of the X1900XT i might have gotten that :) but the nearest $300 card is the X1900XTX at $360

What do you guys think is the best bang for the buck ? as I hear the 7900GTO is just a 7900gtx underclocked and it comes with 512mb ram (better for vista & future games then 256mb) it is a tad slower then the X1900XT at stock speeds (a few fps) but can be easily clocked to 7900GTX speeds
