You could try a different fan and also try a push/pull configuration if you have not already done so. I would like to know what a nice Noctua fan would do in place of the supplied Corsair ones.
I have been in between an H60 and H80 for my new build. It's the last thing I need to buy. I would go...
Your headphones will work with the onboard sound. Now whether an external card is better or not I do not know for sure. I seem to think so though and I did notice a definite increase in quality with my X-FI.
Not to thread jack but I just made the same jump. Parts should be in tomorrow. I am going from the rig in my sig to:
2500k
Asus P8Z68 Pro
8gb Gskill 1600
it takes literally 10 seconds to log into Steam... Not only that, you being new to PC games would appreciate that Steam auto updates all your games that are on there

Well im not sure how well read up you are on the different models and also the common gripes with Samsung plasmas..
Samsung plasmas, especially the mid to low end models tend to have a problem with a buzzing sound coming from the panel.
Panasonic plasmas have been considered the best...

Its perfect for our room. PQ is just fine for TV viewing. I just couldnt justify spending that much just because we watch very little TV in there. But no complaints so far...
I also plan on calibrating...
wish FIOS was available to me :(
Still having a hard time pulling the trigger on RE5. Never got into any of the others, not sure if I would even like this one. Its just that cheap price that just tells me just to do it.
I havent played BC2 in a while but when I did it was laggy and glitchy as hell. That's why I stopped playing lol.
I know it has been patched a few times since I last played so it may be better. But it seemed like it took me forever to find a decent server that had people in it
dont get a DLP. If you want the best possible image quality get a Panasonic plasma.
good deal on a great set.
