Good monitor... looking for some reccomendations

Ask yourself if you really need wide screen. I thought about one myself, as they come much cheaper than the standard screens, but I realized that it would be practically useless since what I use mainly involves A4 documents or web pages, and since most designers these days get over-excited by...

Core 2 Duo MacBook Pros released

Thats exactly what I think. For the hardware, the MacBookPros are only a little better, and in MacWorld's performance tests they didn't do NEARLY well enough against the MacBooks to justify such a huge increase in price.

YES! They had better upgrade the standard MacBooks with Core 2 Duos too! I'm glad I waited for them to make something better (of course, they havent yet with the MacBooks). Do you guys think that this means they will be upgrading the MacBooks as well?

Hmm, I'll wait a bit and see if they do release an update. If they do, I'll get that (probably). And I've had a look at that Crossover Mac, it seems really useful, and at a good price also. I'll definately look into it if I get the MacBook (it does take up 120MB but I guess its worth it). And...

Thanks for all the replies. Well... apart from secutiry reasons, its very instable, which pisses me off. All of the drivers also annoy me. Its hard to put into words... but I'm beginning to feel that as I get more experienced with the developer side of computing, Windows isnt the OS for me...
