Thank you everyone for the comments! Finally decided that i will go for HD6970, i like the chance to get another for Crossfire and the fact that i play at high res (2560x1600) in which i see the 6970 performs really well :) Will update post once i have the card at home!

Just read that i can use SLI on my x48 board thanks to a "patch"... In that case i might go with the GTX 570. Any idea of the performance with SLI on x48? (non SLI cappable before the patch i mean...)

Bottleneck for X1950Pro AGP?

Maybe the CPU bottleneck for a GPU is not as important as we all might think... I mean a good GPU will improve your general gaming experience and thats the point, i dont want to have the 3DMark record :P. But anyways not much time left for R600 so i should wait and see whats going on...

Is there a lot of difference (price) between the E6300 and E6400? I never considered the 6300 as an option :P I really like the Seasonic and the Seagate hard drive is excellent, i got 2 of those in raid and they are fast :)

8800 GTX, good or bad idea?

I saw some benchmarks and the Core2Duo were a bottleneck at low resolutions (most people res. 1024*768, 1280*1024). After they overclocked the CPU (even the 6800 extreme) they had like 25fps more :). At really high resolutions the CPU was not the problem, the graphic card was hehe...

Thanks for the replies! I tried to OC and i think my CPU has a bad stepping because i couldn't go above 2.5 :( (i used it@2.55 but after couple days became unstable) I'm considering changing the whole system just like some of you said, but if i want to buy everything brand new i'm afraid...

I think you will be fine :). That processor isnt bad with that graphic card. I have a similar problem, but with the latest AGP card with my current AMD 64 3200+ and i dont know what to do ;)

Hello there! Im looking for components for my next computer and i was wondering if there are any cases that allow you put 2 PSU (with built in slots). I guess there should be rack style cases with those 2 slots, but i dont know if a big tower case could have it aswell... Thanks!

Worth the move to Core 2 Duo/Quad?

I have AMD64 and i'm waiting for Quad :). I think you could wait couple of months and wait what intel Quad has to offer in terms of performance... after that you can choose between Core2Duo or Quad. If you wait until Quad, Core2Duo prices will drop aswell so whatever you choose will be good :)

Current best Alternative to a raptor

dBTelos is right. Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 :) I got 2x 320 in RAID0 and WOW is all i have to say :). Great average transfer rate (116mb/sec benchmarked with HDTune)

OK... Battlefield 2142 demo Runs HORRIBLY On my computer... What's the problem Here???!!

BF2142 uses BF2 engine, but they improved it or at least that is what it seems! I could be wrong because i played BF2142 at 1024x768 i couldnt select 1280x1024 but i was playing at high settings and FPS were so great :) I usually play BF2 medium settings @ 1280x1024

Argh, god damn USB ports

That makes sense cockeyed, i just turned that option off :) Sometimes i have to switch between ports to make a device work, so this change could help ;)
