Yeah, a fairly beef Monster one. Nothing else plugged into it, or not, in the home seems any different. I would think if it died on the first attempt to power on that day, i would have heard or smelled something?
computer was working like every other day up till it was turned off last night. attempted to turn on via case power button today and absolutely nothing.
that means no sounds, no fans starting, nothing.
checked power cable (good), checked other devices plugged into same monster surge...
Looking at results form AT and places, my burst speed looks low on the seagate. they're all on the ICH7R

And then I have no idea what the hell's going on with the raptors?! 8mb sectors then 32mb sectors test...
Solved finally.
Somehow after countless resets I was able to get it to work if the LG SATA was NOT in the EZ_RAID 1, and the Seagate was.
I could swear I attempt a setup similiar to this near the beginning, and it resulted in being unable to detect the Seagate when it was in EZ_RAID 1...
seagate 7200.10 on SATA 1
2x Raptors in RAID 0 on SATA 3 and 4, (BOOT DRIVE)
HAD LG optical on PRI-IDE
removed IDE LG optical, installed
LG optical SATA
for now its on EZ RAID SATA 1. I can't get it detected. Ditto if I put the single Seagate in there instead.
