FIle sharing between a Mac ibook and a Win2k workstation?

For OSX 10.1 I liked using an ftp client on my Windows machine to connect to the mac. Just have TCP/IP working on both machines and enable FTP Access under Sharing in the System Preferences.

bad RAM caused win2k profile to move to .bak folder

Best software for a restore disk

I've used both Ghost and PowerQuest's Drive Image. Thumbs up to Drive Image. It's more intuitive, the 40% compression option runs just as fast as without compression. This is also a great way to back up C to a D partition or drive.

You can buy an 81 GB Maxtor for under $300, and some of these "sleds" are hot-swap capable. I don't see how tape can compare. Thanks for Veritas suggestion; I'll try their demo.

scandisk: "missing media byte"

Now it's not coming up with the error, when before, it had. I was able to install Windows 98. I ran scandskw without incident, and scandisk from a boot floppy without problem. even passes surface scans. Seems like this is intermittent? Not sure if I should replace.
