do you guys this it's worth it for me to upgrade to 32gb of ram from my original 16gb?
i was thinking of getting these modules:
http://www.amazon.com/Crucial-Ballis...8G3D1608ET3LX0
and buying two of those kits, because it's actually cheaper than buying a single 32gb kit! haha
Haha is it pretty solid still? I remember upgrading every year haha
The biggest thing is that my system isn't that stable. Always hangs up or crashes. Kind of tired of it.
Maybe I should upgrade my motherboard and add ram? If so, what mb ?
Hi all
I currently have a 3+ year old system.
i7 2600k
ASUS P8P67 DELUXE
16GB ram
NVIDIA Geforece GTX580
512GB OCZ Vertex4 HD
misc hard drives for storage
Corsair AX850 power supply
I do nearly all photo/video (using Adobe Premiere/photoshop/lightroom) editing on this thing...
hi all
i am a photographer/videographer, and i occasionally play games on my system
i hae a i7 2600k w/16gb ram and currently a msi 560 gtx twin frozr ii oc card
this card SUCKS. it keeps giving me errors - you can google all the people using the same card and getting errors on bf3 and...
if he's survived all these years w/o a camera....then what makes you think he wants one now? I'm sure he would have bought himself a camera by now.
but....get the s95. i'm a pro photographer myself and i have that camera when i don't want to lug all my pro gear around :)
Here is my system specs:
INTEL 2600K
ASUS P8P67 DELUXE
16GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR3 1333 CAS 9
MSI GEFORCE GTX 560 TI OC
CORSAIR AX 850 POWER SUPPLY
WINDOWS 7 64 BIT ULTIMATE
I am not overclocking....
and my score was P4495
is that good or bad?
thanks!
Hi Castiel, I assume you're talking about this card, right?
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...689&CatId=3585
Is that the best one to get? I also do photo/video work too...so that may be another factor.
thx so much!
How is this version here:
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...453&CatId=3585
Since it's EVGA it has the lifetime warranty....but is it also good for overclocking?
I Was deciding between the corsair vengeance 8gb 1600 cas 9 and cas8 ram....on Newegg it's a $25 price difference. Since I ordered 16 gb worth, it made a $50 difference...so I ordered the cas9 version.
Good, bad?
I do mostly photo and video editing on my machine
thanks guys
i built a 2600k, asus p8p67 deluxe m/b, 16gb ram, evga 470gtx video card machine....
i'lll probably hold off on ssd for now since all the new stuff was announced at ces and will be released soon...so hopefully the prices will drop down :)
So i'm a photo/video guy...
and i'm interested in an SSD for my main OS. i'll also install photoshop, lightroom, and premiere on the ssd.
my photos/videos are stored on a separate drive.
when i'm editing, will i see a big difference in editing?
thx!
well, i ordered the ones i just linked yesterday...didn't know about hte 1.65 vs 1.5 volt thing. :(
i don't want to pay a restocking fee at newegg though. :(
dammit
hey guys
my current computer runs on an amd 6000+ processor..i'm due for an upgrade!

hey guys...i need a new machine to do my photo/video editing work..
believe it or not i'm using my amd 6000+ to do my work...
time toupgrade!
what do you guys recommend for me? I also need RAM, PS, Case, video card, etc
my budget is around $1500 for everything except for monitor...
THanks for the awesome reply!
I do not plan to overclock unless i can guarantee my system is rock solid stable.
i don't want to be editing photos or rendering video just to have it crash! :(
I do want to upgrade..but if i can hold out 2-3 more months for the newest stuff....then i won't...
i have a amd 6000 processor rig....and i desperately need to upgrade to a new system since my system is chugging when i'm running lightroom 3 and sony vegas....
i was going to go w/a macbook pro but I can't justify the expensive price when i can get a killer desktop for under half that price...
