The CompUSA in Raleigh (on 70) is picked bare of just about anything worth buying. They still had some way overpriced laptops a few days ago. They are marking prices up as they up the discount percentages.
Please just go out of business already.
I got to 3.4 Ghz at 1.425 on my first attempt with a E6600. It booted right up, ran cool and was prime stable. I haven't pushed it further but probably could go further. This is with a Scythe Ninja Rev B. I'm happy with 3.4 though.
edit- oops, just saw this was for a quad core so my OC...
Maybe, or maybe they raise the price. :Q I didn't expect the 6600 to come down this low even next week. The $224 price was not a suggested retail price, it was a wholesale price for 1000 units.
Never, but that doesn't mean it couldn't happen. What if one of the pins was broken? I don't know. It's worth the peace of mind to me to buy from a familiar vendor for a few bucks more.
