So I have an EVGA GTX 660ti FTW sig2 card and as much as I'd like an upgrade I can't spend a lot. I'm thinking around $250-300, but the 770 is ~400 and the 760 doesn't seem worth the $250+ from what I currently have. I was really hoping the 660ti's would come down in price considering the 760 is...
Demo if you're still checking this updating the controller firmware seems to have solved my problem with the drive not POSTing, it's possible the controller was failing during it's initialization. I'm guessing the same thing could happen coming out of sleep.
Although updating the firmware is...
I didn't use windows backup, I used acronis true image 2011 and it was quite easy. However I'm getting fairly low sustained read speeds compared to others with the same drive. I'm not sure if I need to do a fresh install or if my controller is limiting the speed.

I recently picked up a crucial m4 128 drive (my first SSD). I updated the firmware to 0009 before putting a cloned copy of win7 on it. The drive is about half full. I am wondering if the marvell 9128 controller is holding the...
I just picked up a m4-128 as well, I updated to 0009 straight away. I'm having a similar issue. I don't use sleep, however the drive has failed to POST quite a few times.
I'm not so sure if it's the drive or not. What motherboard do you have and which controller (if it has more than one) are...
The monitors I currently have don't have a 1:1 pixel mapping mode from what I've been able to tell. The nvidia drivers have an option to use a fixed aspect ratio which helps a bit to avoid stretching. Not quite the same but I've used it for games that don't support widescreen mostly. Theres...
Hmm, thats definitely a good price for the 26" screen, unfortunately there is a $20 tax so it brings it up to $350, though $30 for the larger screen still isn't a bad deal. I wonder why there is tax, they're based in NH so that seems odd as I'm not in NH. I didn't think there was supposed to...
At this point I think I am leaning toward a 16:10 screen. There's the SAMSUNG ToC T240HD($320) even though it'll cost me more I do like it with a tv tuner and samsung screens are often very good. There is also the ASUS MK241H($260 after MIR, $280 before). The asus has a lower response time and...
hm, how well does the 1920x1080 resolution work on older games? Obviously widescreen support is needed but I'm not sure I'm not sure how much support there has been for a 16:9 screen vs a 16:10
Currently I have a 22" monitor with a 1680x1050 resolution. I was thinking of buying a 24" 1920x1080 but I know a lot of people prefer monitors with 1920x1200 because of the extra vertical 'real estate'. I guess I'm curious coming from a 1680x1050 resolution if I'll miss the extra vertical from...
Thanks for the responses here, sorry I haven't gotten back sooner. I generally don't really like to OC on stock cooling so I haven't tried that yet to see if the gap widens or not. I've tried reapplying the HSF a few times with no signifigant change, at least not in the gap. though I did...
I had a 3700+ san diego for awhile but decided to jump on the dual core bandwagon. I purchased the opteron 175 and at the moment stock cooling but I had a question. I noticed using a program such as core temp or everest that the cores have ~10C difference in temps, is this normal? One core...
