After some long thinking I decided to buy 19" 5:4 instead of widescreen, mainly because I do flightsimulator a lot, and it doesn't support widescreen very good. I ordered the ViewSonic vp930, hoping it will be rev3. Is there any way to check if it's rev3 when it arrives? Maybe it can be found...

Well I tested my Samsung 215TW for 2 days, and to be honest the input lag is really disappointing. When I entered windows for the first time and started moving the mouse, I noticed the lag within 2 seconds. So I started playing some games, well it was real bad. Even in slow games like realtime...

today I made my decission and ordered the Samsung 215TW. I was very convinced about the colors/contrast/quality of this screen, besides I like that it's 21" because I allways thought 20" wide was a little too small. Of course there are still the stories about input lag, well I guess I will...

ah okay. So I know the viewsonic would be somewhat faster for games, well as I said I'm not too worried about that. However which one would be better for movies? because some reviews talk about twinkling effect and "noisy video playback" on the 215TW.

After searching more forums, I've seen many gamers who use the samsung 215TW and are not bothered by input lag at all. Other hand there are some who think it's irritating. In the end, I think it's a matter of experiencing it yourself and judge if it's acceptable. Since I'm not hardcore gamer...

hmz this isn't making the choice any easier :) I was convinced of the samsung 215TW, but this input lag disturbs me though. Makes me consider alternatives. I know the NEC would be good, however I don't like the glossy coat on the screen (I have experience with glossy screen on my laptop), too...

xtknight thx for the comment. I indeed like the Samsung 215TW, because of the color quality/contrast/design. However after some research I found out some people reporting "input lag" on this monitor when playing fast FPS games. Can you confirm this, or does anyone have experience with this...
