Thanks but not all anti-virus reduce the footprint to 0 when you disable the active protection. I need to know which one can actually do that. What's your opinion regarding Zone Alarm's FREE firewall?

3 best brands for "regular" HD 4890 1GB?

Hi. Which one do you consider are the 3 best brands for a HD 4890 1GB and specially "why?". I guess Asus is on top because of their voltage tweaker, then it would be XFX because of double lifetime warranty which is good if I plan to re sell the video card (and I will) later on. Right?

2x WD360 Raptor in RAID 0

Hello, I have the opportunity to buy 2 WD360 Raptor used (with warranty) for less than 80$. Is this a good solution? will this speed up my load times and make gameplay smoother overall? I've never done RAID 0 before and never had a 10K RPM drive. I know they dissipate a lot of heat, any tips?

Then why on earth do people risk their videocards flashing the BIOS if the shaders will scale upwards with the main core? what's the benefit in that? :confused:

I don't think that a 30$ HSF is a bad target for overclocking... it's no like I'm asking it to cool down a 1.5V 3.6 GHz Core 2 Duo... Like I said, I'm all about BBB. But I don't want to fry my CPU with the stock HSF... Besides, my room temp is usually around 30ºC (mornings and afternoons)...

How about the cooler master Hyper TX? I've heard that while Zalman and Thermaltake are good solutions, they are often overpriced when compared to other brands. Is this true? Bigbruint claims the Hyper TX is even better than Scythe Infinity (which I really REALLY doubt btw).

8800 GTS without Vista

What I mean is... is it worth spending 500$ instead of 170$ (EVGA 7900 GS) for running DX9 games for over a year and a half at 1280x960... I mean, I don't really need to run Oblivion at 38 fps (according to anandtech) with HDR and everything crank up to enjoy the game... do I?
